Gwahumbe is tops ! Great Staff and perfect routes to follow. Wildlife is brilliant. I have been taking guests to Gwahumbe from Germany, Great Britian, United States, China, New Zealand, Brazil and Russia for many years now and only get smiles as they really enjoyed themselves. World Class destination for sure. The comments in the visitors book say it all.

As soon as I arrived at Gwahumbe, I felt welcome. I stayed in Serangeti. The service was top notch, the room spacious and beautifully designed. The Team there (bar, reception and restaurant) have clearly made sure that their service quality is very high. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Dinner was simple - although a little uninspired - but still... More

I worked abroad & recently returned to South Africa & booked a romantic get-away with my partner at Gwahumbe. I must say we felt utterly disappointed from the first day & very much for the rest of the stay. Whilst the staff were friendly, the attention to detail was lacking in every sense of the way as well as listening... More

Most enjoyable and wonderful experience at Gwahumbe. We loved everything about it, from the beautiful scenary, to the stunning rooms, delicious food, exciting game drive, highlight was being footsteps away from the Rhino and most importantly the warm welcome and hospitality from the staff. Special thanks to Sarah for the superb service. The Game drive with Daniel was beyond our... More

Had a wonderful and relaxing time at the resort celebrating 19 wonderful years of marriage. One of the highlights was being chased by the friendly rhino while taking a hike through the reserve (fortunately we got away by hiding in a donga). We also came across a group of Giraffe's while riding the MTB trails down to the hippo pools, what... More

A huge thank you to Sarah, Andrew and all the people at Gwahumbe for making our wedding day absolutely perfect. The personalised attention, the food, the unique and forever memorable trip in the unimog (an experience!!!) - it really was exceptional in every way. To the chefs - your food was amazing and the cake was as delicious as it... More

Spend a few hours at Gwahumbe for the game drive, was absolutely wonderful. Professional and friendly and what an incredible experience. Our game ranger was knowledgable and accomodating. I would recommend this game drive to anyone with a little sense of adventure (quite hectic 4x4 tracks) which i thought was exciting. Highlight of my drive was seeing the cute little... More

We spent a weekend at Gwahumbe with 4 adults and 2 kids (5 & 6yrs) - we stayed in their Riverbend self catering cottage. The cottage was very clean with 3 bedrooms all en-suite and a very well stocked self catering kitchen. (all beds were single) The bathrooms were clean and well designed with windows over looking the amazing views.... More

Gwahumbe is overated on their website. We visited Gwahumbe on May 1st 2013. We were hoping to do a game drive, visit the spa and have a nice meal at their restaurant. On arriving, we were told that we would not be able to have lunch as the kitchen could not cope with orders. Apparently it was too full. We... More

We booked in on the pamper package which included room breakfast a private dinner in the hydro and a massage - the venue is lovely the rooms are decent size, no tv though. There is a cosy bar/lounge and very friendly accommodating staff. We werent chased out which was refreshing, we had the massages the next day and only left... More
