The gourmet breakfasts were so creative and delicious, we stayed for two nights and both were the best! This place is wonderful with so many things to do and see. Linda, our hostess, was warm and welcoming. She had freshly baked Russian tea cookies always ready. I had read about the nightly Hors d'oeuvres but wasn't expecting wine too. We... More

I have always been hesitant to try the whole B&B thing. My girlfriend had previously tried a few with mixed results. I found the Alpenhorn, by chance, on the internet and saw the photos and read that AAA had rated them 4 star many years in arrow. (I usually trust AAA ratings quite a bit.) We decided to give Alpenhorn... More

I have been to Big Bear many times, mostly renting a house, but this time it was just my husband and myself and I was intrigued with the offering on Zozi, so I booked it. First time I have actually purchased on Zozi. The Alpenhorn was wonderful, spacious, clean and very well kept. Breakfast was amazing; way too much to... More

A terrific find! I called on short notice and was accomodated. A wonderful, warm, eclectic B&B with a great central location. Creative, gourmet breakfasts prepared by Linda are delicious! The evening wine and treats were unexpected and a nice touch. Beautiful and well cared for home and grounds...perfect! We will return...thank you Linda.

We were fortunate enough to stay at the Alpenhorn Bed & Breakfast this past week. It was a lovely place with beautiful grounds. Our room was so comfortable and inviting. Our host, Linda, was friendly and warm. The evening wine and hors d'oeuvres were delicious as were the evening cookies and candy. Her gourmet breakfast was a treat for the... More

We spent Presidents Day weekend at Alpenhorn and enjoyed it immensely! Linda and Susie were excellent hostesses and the breakfasts included about 5 courses and filled you up. They even snuck in to our room while we were eating and made the bed. Excellent service! Apenhorn is located in a very quiet neighborhood with views of snow and pines all... More

I stayed here with my two children, and we had such a wonderful time. We arrived late into this cozy little getaway, with all it's cabin "Alpine" charm. We nibbled on chocolates as we drifted off into a lovely sleep. The beds were super comfy. Everything was clean, and Linda and her staff were delightful. Breakfast was yummy. She really... More

We love the Alpenhorn B&B! We have stayed there in the fall, the winter with snow, and this past Nov/Dec....no snow...but COLD! Always warm and cozy inside our room! Plus...we loved that the whole place was decorated very Christmasy! Have gotten to know the innkeeper, Linda, and always enjoy her. *** Her breakfasts are wonderful!!*** I think the breakfasts are... I recently had my wedding and reception at the Alpenhorn. The Alpenhorn provides amazingly picturesque grounds for both your ceremony and receptions. All my guests raved about how beautiful it was! You have you ceremony in the private “back garden” and your reception in the beautiful front garden by a man made stream. The lighting was beautiful. Every little detail... More

My husband and I stayed at Alpenhorn for a mini getaway on his days off. The bed and breakfast is really beautiful and well taken care of. When you first arrive you feel as if you are staying in someones house, it has a warm and comfortable feeling to it. We have only stayed at one other bed and breakfast... More
