Not the first time we've stayed at the Lodge, definitely not the last It can accommodate families {great for reunions} and also wonderful for a couples get away Usually, if it is just the two of us, we rent a single roomed cabin, but, this time we were staying three days and wanted room for our gear. The rooms are... More

I was looking for a place to stop for a night before heading camping on the Stanislaus River. I found Timberline online, the price was very good, and the rooms looked clean and well-kept. Check-in time was between 3 and 8 pm, so I called ahead to let them know we wouldn't arrive until 11pm. At 10:55 I got a... More

Okay - I've read the reviews below and I wonder at the logic skills of some of the reviewers. My sister and I found the last room in the entire town here last weekend and were so happy we did. The Timberline is one of the most affordable accommodations in Big Bear. The location is ideal, the units are reasonably... More

After the Inn Der Bach lost our reservation we found this place online. We were very grateful to have found a place to stay that allowed pets & had a full kitchen however once we saw where we were staying we wished we had looked longer. The floor didn't look like it had been vaccuumed, cobwebs hung in several corners,... More

Beautiful, comfortable, and affordable! The scenery was amazing, with the lake right across the street. The staff and service are great, & very friendly. We really appreciate the privacy and comfort we had, it was like our home away from home. Will be staying there again this winter!

The Timberline Lodge is a great place to stay. They offer a variety of styles of accommodations and it is located in a great place. It is situated about halfway between the Village and Boulder Bay. We have stayed here twice and will definitely return. The first time we stayed last Summer in a one bedroom Mini cabin, this past... More

The Blair Witch Project in a mini-cabin. That's what it reminded me of. Some poor person's hair was in our bed, tons of it, neatly folded into all three covers. There was a bug smashed on the wall by the bathroom light. Dust had caked on the lampshades and window shades. The TV was more static than television. Our dog... More

We booked a two night stay last Thursday 12/26/13. Our son fractured his shoulder snowboarding on the fist day at the Snow Summit resort and we needed to take him back to the closest city to see a specialist. The Big Bear Valley hospital ER did not have an Orthopedic doctor on site, in any case, we told the person... More
