My husband and I spent one night here back in May, when we were house hunting in Big Bear. It's a decent hotel and I would definitely recommend it to friends. I really liked the fireplace in our room. It was cozy. The hotel itself is clean and modern. It's different that Big Bear's other offerings in that it doesn't... More

Spent a refreshing weekend in Big Bear and stayed at the Best Western. We usually stay there, and they offer a great place for a reasonable amount. October Fest was a welcome respite from work, and the city itself did a great deal to make the weekend fun and special.

The food service and quality of food was very poor. $36 for an average speg. dinner and served on Styrofoam plates. No control on room heating and cooling. Was warm at night and freezing cold in the morning.

The Big Bear Chateau was just the ticket for a getaway trip. The location is near food and activities and the Octoberfest was great.. A really class hotel. Will stay again. There was covered motorcycle parking.

If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Big Bear without the worries of feeling dingy. You need to stay here. This Best Western has surly surprised my partner & I in so many ways. Location was great. 2 miles from downtown. parking is lonely. ceilings are low. Food was ok, its free. Rooms are kinda small but they have a small jazucci and a pool. the gym is small too and no free weights.

On a whim we decided to get out of the heat and went to Big Bear with no reservations. Wanting a hotel with a reputable company we selected the Best Western more because of the location being off the main road and less traffic than anything. Penny greeted us like we were old friends and gave us an upgraded room... More

The hotel is beautiful. So imagine my surprise when the bathroom reeked of mildew. It permiated the entire room. We had to leave the door closed. We were there for one night, we did not complain. It wasn't worth the hassle. Then we went to their in house breakfast in the morning, and were ignored by the gal taking the... More

Aloha everyone, my son and I stayed here on Labor Day while we took a 'zero day' during our late Aug/early Sept section hike (Section C) of the Pacific Crest Trail. We planned well in advance and had reservation months ahead of time. Check in was a breeze, and the staff was friendly and helpful with our questions about this... More

Great rooms, service and hotel location complemented by very personable staff at the hotel lounge. Rooms are spacious and have a great work area that allows you to plug all your devices in. Complimentary breakfast(s) are wonderful.
