I only travel to Big Bear to snowboard. My friend and I like to try different hotels each time we go. This time we tried the Fireside lodge. My first impressions were great when I spoke with Jaquiline and Annie they really make you feel comforable to talk to. The room we stayed in was a little small but comfortable,... More

As we were married 27 years ago in Big Bear Lake and stayed at the Fireside Lodge we thought it would be nice to "return to the scene of the crime". We were, however, somewhat disappointed with the level of service compared to 27 years ago. Though the staff was hospitable, we did not find the special type of friendliness... More

This was my first time staying at this lodge but found it to be nice, it was clean and the view of the lake was great. The unit we stayed in had a jacuzzi tub and small kitchenette. Jaquiline was great, she offered to drive us so we could go skiing and when the cab company never showed, she came... More

We visited Big Bear Lake with our classic car club and the Fireside Lodge had wonderful staff, excellent hotel rooms and tastefully decorated faclities available for our group to meet. They provided us with breakfast every morning, view of Big Bear Lake (from some of the rooms) and fireplaces in many of the rooms and a welcome bottle of wine... More

This was my first time at this lodge. However, my boyfriend and his brother have been coming to this lodge since they were little boys with their parents. I can see why. The service is fantastic. The rooms are quaint and warm. The lodge is perfectly located to shopping and dining. I look forward to coming back in the years... More

I ONLY stay at Fireside Lodge/Bear Creek when I come to Big Bear. Jacqueline is so nice and helps out in every aspect of trip planning. The cabins are always clean, it's safe, and the views are spectacular. I choose only to book directly with these people - they're great! Carl Austin, TX More

Made a quick one night trip to Big Bear. Went up on a Wednesday and had our choice of places to stay. We had brought ou dog, Daisy, so needed a pet friendly place. Also wanted to be close to the village. Remembered that we had stayed at Fireside a few years ago and liked it. We were greeted by... More

My husband & I spent the weekend here in October with a group of friends. The staff is very helpful. The location is great....a short walk to the village. I especially enjoyed the 78 degree heated pool. Those who did not swim, could sit around the pool and visit. The room where we gathered for our breakfasts had a wide... More

We chose this hotel because of is vicinity to Big Bear Lake and the village. It's walking distance to both. There's so much to do in the area. It's close to everything! We had a 2-room suite for 3 couples. Each couple had a bed and a bathroom to themselves, which is rare. The suite was quaint and charming. The... More
