I decided to give Grey Squirrel a try, and not disappointed. Stayed in Fawn , motel room #4. Very clean, and roomy. I was worried about noise being in the middle of three rooms. No noise at all heard from either side. Overall a nice place, would stay again if I went with friends, not solo. The pool was clean,... more

This is a cozy and well-run little set of cabins on the north side of Big Bear Boulevard west of The Village in Big Bear Lake. My sweetie and I took advantage of their 3 nights for the price of 2 deal by staying Sunday through Wednesday. The check-in was quick and easy and the nice young woman at the... more

A group of 23 friends and I just rented 3 vacation cabins from Grey Squirrel - Log Haven, Brewers, & Molly's Peak. All were great vacation homes, and each house had individual rooms that were perfect for our singles and couples and our many dogs. The reservation process was easy, and once there, Pat, the staff person, was extremely pleasant,... more

We had a very good experience at Grey Squirrel Cabins. This was the best place we had stayed in all the many trips here. The owner was pleasant, and the staff was nice, too. The housekeeping also made sure that we had everything that we needed. The only complaint that we had is that one worker lady on the night... more

My wife and I booked a trip for the Holidays on 11/10/08. I was layed off from my job on 11/12/08. We decided to cancel our trip and stay home for the holidays. We were refunded our deposit, but had to forfiet $50. This policy was told to us in the beginning, so we really can't complain. However, the lady... more

We have been to Grey Squirrel on a number of occasions. We take our dog Tilly and she has a great time. The cabins are always clean and building a fire in the evening is great fun. more

I stayed in the Aspen Pines A for the weekend. It was a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin. The fireplace was absolutely beautiful. But, that was all. Everything else was average at best. It felt more like you were staying over a friends house. It was clean but not like a vacation resort. It did not thrill me at all.... more

We live in the San Gabriel Valley so when we saw the mountains full of snow we knew we had to head up to Big Bear for a couple days of fun. We've stayed in many places in Big Bear, but wanted to try some place different so we sought a small cabin on the Grey Squirrel property. After viewing... more

We stayed at their Possum Cabin for 5 nights. It's a cabin for 2 people. It was small but very functional and perfect for just 2 people. They supplied everything you could need. The only things we needed was our own food and charcoal for the BBQ which they also provided. We were pleasantly surprised at the thoughtfulness of the... more
