We came here for a weekend get a way and it was perfect. Friendly staff (Rachel) clean well maintained room. Two blocks walk from shopping and dining in the village of big bear lake. Short walk to the marina. Really enjoyed ourselves and relaxed.

We arrived late on Friday night, and with ease were checked into our room. The front desk clerk was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Our main purpose for being there was to go skiing. Our "rustic cabin" provided plenty of room, and everything we could possibly need for a cozy weekend away. The fireplace was an added bonus... More

Wasnt really sure what to expect since this was our first time to Big Bear. This is a hidden gem. The main road to the Village dead ends at this lodge. Very basic amenities, no shampoo, etc., bed was hard, but loved the chair that converts to bed for one daughter and the futon for the other daughter. The view... More

This was our first trip to Big Bear Lake, California. We were invited to a friend's wedding but had no idea of where to stay or anything about Big Bear. We were pleasantly surprised! Our stay at the Honey Bear Lodge exceeded our expectations. Our lower level room was very clean. It included two queen size beds, fridge, microwave, coffee... More

I had a great time at the lodge. Close to restaurants and walking distance to bar. Cool place to go and a nice staff. You can walk to the lake, or view the lake from the lodge. We will be back again for sure.

Staff seems really friendly everytime I spoke with someone. I Stayed iin an off propety location, and had to pay an extra $50 dollar cleaning fee. But I had to wash dishes(understandable). Take out my own trash to there dumpster or other site in BB. or its a $5 charge per bag. Make sure all windows were locked or $5... More

I am sorry you felt that we were charging excessive fees. The only $5 fee was the garbage fee, this is a Ordinance that we must comply with TPHR (Transient Private Home Rental). Regarding the other list of rules: In reference to the thermostat, during the winter season it has to be maintained at minimum 55 degrees. Nothing was said... More

When checking in, the young lady at the desk was super nice, answered my questions, and sold me some firewood. I stayed for 1 night in room 26 and it was very clean. They upgraded me to a loft room due to a booking snag and the place was cozy. The beds were large and the wood stove was fun... More

Very accommodating staff, immaculately clean generously sized room and good location make this a welcome respite. We were in room 20 and loved the room, though one night we were wakened several times by noisy revelers on the adjacent stairs returning to their rooms.

We went to the Honey Bear Lodge in Big Bear not knowing where to stay but this place was recommended by the waitress. She said the lodge was there for a long time and is kind of an icon. Plus it was very close to the village so you could walk to have breakfast or put back a few cold... More

Simple room, with a Wood Stove for heat. Small college frig, queen bed, futon. Room is a little dated, a little older, but no complaints, it was a good value for the price. I would stay here again. Oh- they have huge pines in the yard. When I sat outside enjoying my morning coffee, you could just smell the wonderfully... More
