While we didn't stay at the hotel, we had dinner at the restaurant and met the owner and had an amazing experience. The owner was extremely nice and welcoming and sat with us in the lobby before we had dinner and talked. Then we were sat down in the restaurant and served by two great waitresses and the owner's wife.... More

Having lived in Big Bear for more than 14 years, I never had the pleasure of staying at hotels or other lodging places in the area. So, in the few times that I have been back, mostly for weddings and funerals, I've tried staying at a couple of places that I had heard were considered the best and I have... More

What a fantastic find! Thanks to TripAdvisor, we booked a 3 day stay in early October. Ed and Vickie met us at check in and were warm and friendly the entire stay. In fact, everyone at this place was friendly and relaxed. Great breakfast every morning; we chilled and drank wine in their living room and on the porch. My... More

Just got back from a weekend stay at the beautiful B&B. Disregard the old reviews of snippy management, the new owners have upgraded and remodeled the place nicely. We got there an hour early and there was not a peep about it, just good old fashion Southern Hospitality. We stayed in the Willow room, the pictures people have posted made... More

Thank you new owners Ed and Vickie. You are the best hosts. I booked the whole main building for the weekend of September 5-7, 2014 along with the suite in the cottage. While not over the top all of the rooms were comfy and very roomy. This is the mountains and we expected a rustic atmosphere-we did not want nor... More

Live in Big Bear and wanted a special dinner for visiting friends. Lovely dining room in the pine trees. New menu with a Louisiana flair. Gumbo to wasabi ahi tostadas. Pork shank to paella. All absolutely delicious. What a terrific addition to Big Bears dining possibilities.

What a delightful B&B!! Hosts Ed and Vickie purchased the Inn recently and wow, have they done a beautiful job of upgrading this historic property. Ed and Vickie are the perfect hosts, bubbling over with Southern charm and hospitality. Their assistant Elizabeth, is also top notch and went out of her way to give us a tour of the historic... For years, Friends, Family and Neighbors have been staying, dining and raving about the Knickerbocker Mansion & Bistro, but in recent years it had lost bit of its ambiance and the menu had become a bit stagnant. Inn the knick of time, the new owners Ed & Vickie have completely reversed that trend and passionately returned it to it's former... More
