Four of us enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant and highly recommend this place for high quality food. We were there on a Friday evening; only one other couple dining that evening (March is slow). Ed is a friendly host; the view is great; all-in-all a pleasant experience.

This was our first trip to Big Bear Lake and we picked the Knickerbocker by chance. It turned out to be the perfect choice - unique, beautifully secluded house but only 5 minutes walk from town. So much better than staying at a regular hotel. We were made to feel very welcome and the service was excellent. Excellent evening meal... More

In January, 2015, we spent 7 nights at the Knickerbocker Mansion in the Mansion Suite. It was a full 700 sq. ft. of open planned living. The room had a king sized bed, twin bed, sitting area, outdoor patio, and 180 degree views. The luxurious, heated bathroom had a full sized spa and separate shower. The room never felt too... More

Great service, ambiance, and the best dinner we have had in a long time , and that's saying something since we eat out a LOT. Apps , soups( crab bisque, and gumbo) my lamb shank, her seafood paella were all , not good... More

New owners took over 9 months ago and have made some really nice upgrades, this was our first visit since the changes. Dining room is an enclosed porch, total seating can't be much more that 30 I'd guess, nicely intimate. Very high quality food at very reasonable prices. The small salad could easily be shared. Portobello mushroom stuffed pasta appetizer... More

While we didn't stay at the hotel, we had dinner at the restaurant and met the owner and had an amazing experience. The owner was extremely nice and welcoming and sat with us in the lobby before we had dinner and talked. Then we were sat down in the restaurant and served by two great waitresses and the owner's wife.... More

Having lived in Big Bear for more than 14 years, I never had the pleasure of staying at hotels or other lodging places in the area. So, in the few times that I have been back, mostly for weddings and funerals, I've tried staying at a couple of places that I had heard were considered the best and I have... More

What a fantastic find! Thanks to TripAdvisor, we booked a 3 day stay in early October. Ed and Vickie met us at check in and were warm and friendly the entire stay. In fact, everyone at this place was friendly and relaxed. Great breakfast every morning; we chilled and drank wine in their living room and on the porch. My... More

Just got back from a weekend stay at the beautiful B&B. Disregard the old reviews of snippy management, the new owners have upgraded and remodeled the place nicely. We got there an hour early and there was not a peep about it, just good old fashion Southern Hospitality. We stayed in the Willow room, the pictures people have posted made... More
