Maison 140 exceeded my expectations in everything! It was recommended to me by a friend who had stayed there a few months ago. It is located in the middle of Beverly Hills close enough to everything. It was elegant and classy from the moment you walk in the door. The service the staff gave me was the best I have... more

Maison is ubber fab sheek with lots of black hallways and chandeliers (my favorite). I was in a Parisian room on the 2nd floor. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was filled with delicious Molton Brown products. Breakfast was fresh and had great yogurt. Hotel is very close to Beverly Hills shopping- located on a quiet side street. Only a few negatives...... more

we were on our honeymoon from Australia and LA was our third destination to visit. As we mainly chose this hotel for location we were not overly surprised at the lack of room in this hotel. I have to agree with other guests in saying that there was definately a musty smell going on here. The elevator was tiny and... more

My husband and I spent Valentine's Weekend here and loved it! We found the hotel to be so unique and perfect for our little getaway. I found the staff to be very helpful, the location is perfect and the bed was deliciously comfortable. Reccommendation for a good breakfast "Grub Restaurant" - located about 10 minutes from the hotel. more

Well first of all I would like to thank the staff immensley for our wnderful stay. After reading reviews about how terrible the service is I am frankly a little shocked. I will tell a story about how much the staff bent over backwards to meet our needs. We arrived on the 25th December at 11pm from Australia and hadn't... more

Well, my best friend had hung out in the quaint bar at Maison 140 and had always wanted to see the rooms... so we became guinea pigs last night. We reserved a Mandarin Room for $230. Decent price, cute website... what could go wrong? Well, the place was disgusting. The Front Desk attendant was a disaster. He just seemed like... more

A friend was visiting me from England and my home was being renovated so I decided to book hotels in various parts of Los Angeles to give her a true tourist experience. I don't know who enjoyed it more - she or me! This hotel is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! We went in early summer, so prices were not that bad. But... more

Read and believe!! The consensus is that this small hotel COULD be good but isn't. Oh how I wish we had checked out TripAdvisor before we booked. The awful smell is still there....causing an allergic reaction after a hour or so....and like other visitors we couldn't figure out WHAT could have caused it. The hotel charges for everything....WiFi, the little... more

What a disappointment. Maison 140 should be a gem of a hotel, and might be, if the staff gave a hoot about their guests. The location is good, the decor is interesting and hip without being over the top. But the rest.....sigh. When we checked in we asked about wifi and were informed that it was available for a fee... more
