I booked this hotel on Orbitz.com. The total for our stay for 3 nights was to be around $700. That was a little pricey for my husband and I, but from the photos I saw of the rooms I thought it would be well worth it. It wasn't. Our room was tiny, and we actually found out the morning we... More

My husband and i (we are a couple in our late 20's) stayed at this hotel cause it was the only affordable one in BH, but we checked out after one night and moved to the Celebrity in Hollywood (best decision ever). This is a small hotel in the boutique style , meaning it is small and crowded. Rooms don’t... More

I have to constantly travel for work, and recently I have been traveling to Los Angeles. After a series of bad experiences at other Beverly Hills hotels, I decided to stay at the Crescent. Now, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Although it is a "hip" and "trendy" hotel, it has such a homely feel to it. Each of the... More

Don't count on getting a decent night's sleep at this hotel. True, it's hip, and it does do a great job pulling off the "zen" minimalist decor. But our rooms were unbelievably loud, and so was the bed, creaking every time I moved in the night. Not excatly a zen experience. The "hipper than thou" service was disappointing, and in... More

My travel agent was absolutely correct, this place is perfect. I do a lot of business with the entertainment and fashion industries all over the LA area, and I became quite tired of the over-stimulated, over-priced, and stuffy hotels the LA area has to offer. My agent Dolly introduced me to The Crescent, and I guarantee, I will stay nowhere... More

Front Desk Agent "Scott" was not very helpful. I was checked in and asked for a quiet room, room not quiet AT ALL. Then A/C was not working well, went to call down to the front desk and phone does not work. I then walk downstairs to tell Mr. Scott the A/C nor my phone in the room is working... More

I am a travel agent and read the review in Travel Agent Magazine, October 30 2006. This is a "Beverly Hills Hip" hotel. "The Crescent Beverly Hills delivers cutting-edge style." I come from a Virtuoso agency and am not accustomed to booking "boutique hotels". This is an ideally located hotel, three blocks from Rodeo Drive. Location, Location, Location. $185.00 plus... More

A nice little boutique hotel. I recently spent a weekend here and found my place to be generally pleasant. The rooms were on the smaller side, though I found it quite comfortable nonetheless. THe bathroom was definitely on the smaller side too, but I thought given the size it was well-designed and laid out. However, the rooms could have done... More

I have been a frequent traveller to Los Angeles for years and have always stayed in the BH area. On one of my trips a collegue invited me for drinks at the Crescent Hotel and I was so taken by the athmosphere, the charm of the place and by the incredibly designed lounge and lobby area of the hotel. Had... More

I thought the Crescent was great. The outdoor patio has a fireplace and a cool yet laid-back feel. Great place for a drink at night or to read the paper in the morning. You are probably not going to hang out in the rooms much, but they are clean and 'cool' (the ipod thing is great), and the bar /... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
