The room reminded me of a bedroom at my Grandparents house. Small and old only thing update was the tv. We were to stay 2 nights but after our experince left early. Stayed one night on business. Ordered room service twice, used the gym, used the bell people to order taxis. Everything went very smoothly I have no complaints. Internet in the room worked perfectly (wired). more

We forwarded your review to the maintenance department for the heater problem. The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa offers a variety of room types, most with incredible bay views. We hope you'll reconsider another stay here.
H had a business meeting at the Claremont, so I tagged along. Room was small, but had a great bed and all the amenitites and was nicely decorated. New flat screen tv too. The views at the Meritage Restuarant here at the Claremont are exquisite. After seeing a sunset from there it seems to take away the stresses of the day! Recently stayed at the Claremont due to the California Bar Association having their labor Law meeting there. The facility has lost their touch. While the building is great, the management's attention to detail is appalling. Internet service that timed out after five minutes. Nothing in the room to hook up my ipod. Such a beautiful hotel, wonderful views and lousy management. I have stayed here several times when in Berkeley and each time there have been problems with staff/rooms. I love the Claremont. Extremely beautiful and peaceful location! Efficient and friendly staff. I feel you get a great deal if you look at travelocity, otherwise it might get pricey. There is a resort charge that is added above the price, which had I known at check-in rather than check-out I would have used the resort. Room service is expensive... more

Use Priceline for business travel often and sometimes get a great surprise (or not so great!).
