Since I was traveling on business, I had requested a room on a high floor to get away from street noise. I arrived around 10pm and found my previously higher room on the printout had been crossed out, and a room on the second floor penciled in. I didn't think much of it until I got to the tiny room... It seems like a nice place from the pictures, but it's actually much more run down up close. The price per room is just too high for what you get. The beds aren't comfortable, and the pillows and towels are nothing close to luxury. The breakfast serves plenty of food, but it's also nothing special. However, the inn is a... More

I'm a bit surprised by this guests' review since she made absolutely no mention of any of these issues during her stay. Her reservation was a last minute booking through our web site on a busy, concert weekend here in Berkeley. The guest states "It seems like a nice place from the pictures, but it's actually much more run down... More

I am a frequent business traveler and get tired of the high rise, very shiny hotels. Don't get me wrong, I love a good night in a Westin, but sometimes a change is just the ticket. The Rose Garden Inn was just that. The people were great. My computer was having trouble with the wireless connection and they set me... More

We stayed at the RG inn for the weekend of our daughter's graduation. Please let me tell you that, after traveling over at least 2/3 of the world, we have NEVER been confronted with such shocking RUDENESS from the help, anywhere! They are boorish, confrontational, talk back threateningly to a customer observation and are, on the whole, totally disagreable. The... More

Sometimes, in customer service, you meet a guest that you simply cannnot make happy. For us, this reveiwer and their family were those guests. Rather than focus on the negative nature of the review, I'd like to address some of the specific comments. The reviewer readily admitted that their family was here for graduation. What they didn't state is that... More

We were very disappointed in this bed & breakfast. The staff was not friendly, the breakfast was "ok", and our bathroom had undergone some repairs that were not yet complete.

Our experience with this hotel was a nightmare. We had made reservations for our September wedding the previous spring (several months in advance). In the interim, we made a few appointments to select rooms and meet with staff. On a couple of occasions, the staff did not show up for our appointment. The staff we did meet were unable to... More

I was the Coordinator for this guests' wedding group and unfortunately we did have to relocate one of the 4 guests that had made reservations with us but I was the one that contacted the guest in question, not the other way around as stated. Since the bride and groom had opted not to go into a contract to guarantee... More

We stayed 1 night in early September. The first room we were shown we didn't really like -- too small, this was in the main house (where you check in), 2nd floor. The young man readily showed us another room which had steps that opened onto the patio -- better. The rooms (that we saw) are nothing special but there... More

I have actually stayed at the Rose Garden Inn twice. The first time was the occasion of my oldest son's wedding in '03- with my mother and youngest son. Andrew came down with the flu and was sick the whole time, so when I had the chance to come back for the occasion of his graduation from National Holistic Institute... More

We stayed at the Rose Garden Inn July 22nd and July 23rd 2006. What a delightful Hotel. The room we had was right off the lobby. The room was very small but we booked last minute so we took what we could get. The room had patio doors that went out to a deck that was shared with the room... More

I have stayed at the Rose Garden Inn multiple times over the last few years when I am in the Bay on business. It's a mixed bag, I would say, but most of the contents of the bag are pretty good. Rooms are all different from one another, and generally comfortable. The few complaints/comments I would have: - the quality... More
