OK. It was clean and in working order, but nothing more. If you are looking for ANY niceties, do NOT stay here. The family is kind and hardworking, I grant you, but we were bummed, as we'd expected a nicer place, given the description on the website, which contained words like "boutique" and "modern" and "chic" and "stylish". It was... More

Our family of four was traveling California on family summer vacation/college visits. Due to a change in plans, we made last-minute reservations and stayed for just one night. While we appreciated the availability of two rooms during the busy summer season, we were disappointed in this hotel. The following review reflects our experience in the room on the first floor,... The best things about this hotel are the comfortable bed and windows that actually open. My room was clean, unlike other rooms my colleagues were in, that most definitely needed new carpet and attention. It's downright ridiculous that they call themselves a boutique hotel. There isn't even a lobby and you're lucky if you find someone in charge around at... More

King size Temperpedic bed was great. Right next to road, but no noise with windows closed. Air conditioner blows directly down on bed (maybe good for some & bad for others). Very Spartan room, but has everything you need. Parking is free. Easy walk to downtown Berkeley in 2-3 minutes. Nothing fancy, but a good night sleep.

This place was tiny, grungy and not worth the $120 price tag (+ tax). Giving it 3 stars because it’s close to downtown and was quite most of the night minus the hookers yelling on the street below. Only a short walk to downtown shopping and restaurants was a plus, that is of course if you don’t mind the smell... More

We apparently got a price increase on our room and maybe because it was grad weekend in berkely ... We had mad the reservation 6 months ahead. Well guess having to pay over 200.00 a night would not have been too bad but what we got for it did not like. Lumpy pillow (we always take our own anyway, ladies... More

Perfectly situated in downtown Berkeley just off Shattuck Ave. Very short walking distance to transport, theatres, shops. A cozy and clean room with accommodating staff. Would definitely stay there again on my next trip.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 night while visiting Berkeley for a friend's wedding. The price was much more affordable than any other option close-by and the location was extremely convenient for using BART. The accommodations are adequate; clean but nothing exceptional. It was quiet and I had no negative issues whatsoever. The only thing which I thought odd... More

Had to stand next to the room door to get a flakey signal. Had several devices which all had same issue. The room I was offered in exchange also had a poor wifi signal. Terrible customer service from manager when attempting to resolve bill. Also, the area is a bit run down and the side street is poorly lit. Wouldn't... More

We stayed here while touring UC Berkeley. For the 17-year old prospective student, it was fine. For the 50-year old mom, I needed more comfort. The inexpensive rate reflects the level and quality of the accommodation--it is a very basic motel. The room was clean, but not everything worked consistently--light fixtures, wifi, water pressure. On the plus side, there was... More
