The room was relatively clean and quite. Good value for the cheapest available hotel that I found.

we couldn't sleep the whole night due to the noises coming from the room next to ours.
towels were not very clean, but the room per se was not so bad; maybe there should be more sound-isolation from other rooms.
positve aspects: it's very cheap and there is free wifi.
negative aspects: sleep quality (due to the noises) and cleanliness.

We arrived at hotel a bit after check in time, however, we were told that our room was not ready, we were told to come back 2-3 hours later, however, we were allowed in the room just to use the restroom, but were warned the room was still not clean. The person at reception was a bit rude and I...

Not worth the money & time! First we came with 2 young children and they said the room we booked was too small for all four of us and that it woud cost another $20 a NIGHT to get a room for the four of us to fit. The walls are so thin that you can here EVERYTHING that was...

Folks, this is a low-budget motel in a not-particularly-special part of Berkeley. If you're looking for charming, memorable lodging for your next family vacation, it isn't for you. If your company is paying the bill, don't book this place in a misguided attempt to save them money (unless you're really, really worried about your company's state of financial health). If...

BI rooms are very small but clean. Each room is furnished differently and all are strangely eclectic. Parking in the hotel lot or on the street is an adventure due to size of the spaces and fact that meter ticketing starts at 9 am. Interesting note: outdoor hallways have surveillance cams, which you may either find reassuring or odd depending...

My friend and I went to Berkeley and after having a lot of fun, decided to stay an extra day. Instead of paying $170 a night where we were staying at a 4 star boutique hotel, we felt that since we would be in the room for three hours as we were leaving extremely early in the morning, it would...

This is a good hotel for the price. It's located away from the bustle of Downtown Berkeley but within walking distance (.8 mi) of North Berkeley Bart and thus close to the action. Settled in a fun multiethnic neighborhood, there are fantastic restaurants right outside the door: it's next to a building whose entire lot, including spacious patio, has been...
