This was our second stay at the Back Bay Inn and just as delightful as the first. I accidently stumbled on older reviews in a vacation rental blog and couldn't believe they were discussing this property. The Back Bay Inn is a very comfortable inn with an unmatched location. It's located right on the bay and has a lovely flower... more

We stayed with friends at the quiet but lovely Back Bay Inn. Great views of the Bay with a large room, comfy robes and a quaint ambience. We went on a wine tasting tour in the area and visited nearby SLO. Breakfast a short walk away. more

It's a cold, snowy day in Pittsburgh and I'm dreaming of the Back Bay Inn and surrounding area while planning our second trip there in May. Like the first time in 06, we'll be traveling up from Long Beach with our daughter and her husband. They will just being staying the weekend as they have jobs to return to but... more

My boyfriend took me wine-tasting in Paso Robles for my birthday. We had a wonderful time - hit a few wine-tasting rooms, dinner in Cambria and then stayed at the Back Bay Inn. We checked in late so I wasn't able to see much of the grounds, aside from the lights glistening off the Bay. But the room was immaculate... more

We had checked Trip Advisor before staying here and were comfortable with the "good" reports. But we really were not expecting the quality of the rooms, furnishings and remarkable surroundings. Our room (14) was large (jokingly, a "tennis court"), very nicely furnished and overlooking the bay. Surrounded by brilliant gardens and towering trees, the Inn is a hidden retreat from... more

I stayed over a year ago, but in planning another trip from Florida, I realized I hadn't written the review from last time! My family owned and operated the property for many years before they tore it down and rebuilt...so I was sensitive to the changes. I think they did a wonderful job. The front desk staff were perfect. Met... more

We are frequent visitors to Morro Bay but since we made this trip without our children, we decided to try the Inn. Although we found the room a little smelly and small on our arrival, we came to enjoy our stay. The noise from the upstairs room was apparant and it would have liked an additional vanity in the bathroom,... more

Stayed here for 3 nights in October, the pictures on the web made the room we had booked look modern and new (Room 109). Upon arrival unfortunately, we where slightly disappointed, the view was excellent and the Inn itself was in a very picturesque setting, but the room was quite dark and not as clean as we imagined . The... more

We stayed here in September for a night, room 109, on the first floor. We choose this Inn because we were travelling from Hollywood to San Jose, so we found Back Bay Inn was a nice place to have a rest in between. This area is perfect for nature lovers and couples. The garden is plenty of wonderful flowers! The... more

My family lives within a mile the Inn - so we have stayed there often. It's at a beautiful location - at the crook of the elbow of Morro Bay - and it is right on the water. Here's the problem - the builders jammed about 10 rooms into one skinny building. The lower rooms have NO natural light, with... more
