We ventured down to Los Osos to check out Montana de Oro State Park for future horse-camping. The Park was great and then we wandered through Los Osos looking for a place to stay in this quiet enclave. We didn't find anything interesting until we wandered by the Back Bay Inn. The Inn is well appointed and sits right on... more

this is not our first time at the back bay inn. We keep coming back because we love Baywood park, the perfect place to get away for a three day weekend. Just far enough away, still close enough just in case. (kids, house, job. whatever comes up) The rooms and the view are wonderful. The inn Keeper hours are short... more

This was our 4th visit to Back Bay Inn. We like the rooms on the ground floor to better enjoy the bay. The area is so peaceful and relaxing. On our last visit we took the bikes, exploring the neighborhoods, bay and dunes. The breakfast that is included was so-so, but the Mexican restaurant across the street was excellent. more

This was our second stay at the Back Bay Inn and just as delightful as the first. I accidently stumbled on older reviews in a vacation rental blog and couldn't believe they were discussing this property. The Back Bay Inn is a very comfortable inn with an unmatched location. It's located right on the bay and has a lovely flower... more

We stayed with friends at the quiet but lovely Back Bay Inn. Great views of the Bay with a large room, comfy robes and a quaint ambience. We went on a wine tasting tour in the area and visited nearby SLO. Breakfast a short walk away. more

It's a cold, snowy day in Pittsburgh and I'm dreaming of the Back Bay Inn and surrounding area while planning our second trip there in May. Like the first time in 06, we'll be traveling up from Long Beach with our daughter and her husband. They will just being staying the weekend as they have jobs to return to but... more

My boyfriend took me wine-tasting in Paso Robles for my birthday. We had a wonderful time - hit a few wine-tasting rooms, dinner in Cambria and then stayed at the Back Bay Inn. We checked in late so I wasn't able to see much of the grounds, aside from the lights glistening off the Bay. But the room was immaculate... more

We had checked Trip Advisor before staying here and were comfortable with the "good" reports. But we really were not expecting the quality of the rooms, furnishings and remarkable surroundings. Our room (14) was large (jokingly, a "tennis court"), very nicely furnished and overlooking the bay. Surrounded by brilliant gardens and towering trees, the Inn is a hidden retreat from... more

I stayed over a year ago, but in planning another trip from Florida, I realized I hadn't written the review from last time! My family owned and operated the property for many years before they tore it down and rebuilt...so I was sensitive to the changes. I think they did a wonderful job. The front desk staff were perfect. Met... more

We are frequent visitors to Morro Bay but since we made this trip without our children, we decided to try the Inn. Although we found the room a little smelly and small on our arrival, we came to enjoy our stay. The noise from the upstairs room was apparant and it would have liked an additional vanity in the bathroom,... more
