We stayed at the Forks Resort for our trip to Yosemite. We wanted something out of the park and quiet. The Forks is on a nice lake, but it is very busy. Check in was easy, but no one seemed happy we were there... Our cabin was #9, which was right above the restaurant and shop... and the garbage cans.... More

Cabins on a lake: Clean and comfortable. Polite staff. Good restaurant food. $200 a night (suite) in September. 1.5 hrs from either Yose valley or King's Canyon/Sequoia. No Housekeeping. You bring in your towels for clean/dry ones. You take out your own garbage, and you act like a civilized human being in exchange for a fine place to rest. Refrigerator... More

Apparently I was clueless and didn't know how difficult it was to get a campsite within Yosemite. This was the next best thing. We booked our spot through recreation.gov which was a little tricky, but once I figured it out was painless. The site was inexpensive and very clean. We had a fire pit (with BBQ grate), a nice flat... More

This campground is fabulous, its set within pine woods, each camper has an allocated spot, youre not over crowded and over looked by a huge amount of other campers. We got a fire pit and a picnic table, and a great view through the trees to Bass Lake. We were only booked here for one night, on a stop over... More

This family owned resort provided a very relaxing stay in the mountains. Clean cabin, with everything we needed. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, and even had tips for fishing spots! Bass lake itself is better for boating/skiing than fishing though. Only problem was the very appetizing smell of the restaurant made us want to eat there more often... More

We used to tent camp with the family at the Forks campground, but decided to rent a cabin this time just for the 2 of us. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well stocked the cabin was. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with living room, kitchen, bathroom, all fully stocked with amenities. Kitchen had refrigerator, stove,... More

Booking: Staff was very nice and accommodating! The start of our Bass Lake 2010 Summer Vacation started with a voicemail left on New Years Eve 12/31/09 for a July 2010 stay. I wanted to book 6 cabins for a week in July. I received a callback in a day or so and my "spot in line" was secured. Payment: $200... More

We've eaten at the Forks restaurant many times, and while the burgers are great, the service is definately lacking. We were there over 4th of July, and we were a big group. However, one person in our group has a very serious milk allergy (his food can't even be cooked near/on anything with milk), and in the past we've brought... More

Our family has stayed at The Forks Resort for many years, the owners feel like family. Everyone is very helpfull. The restaurant is outstanding, even if you don't stay at The Forks, at least have a "Forksburger" while in the area. I believe it is important to know and respect the rules before you book your vacation. We have even... More

This is the local favorite for old diner style burgers. I could eat these things every day. I like to get mine with the onions grilled. You better be hungry if you order the double. This is a local favorite and will be busy around dinner time, but it's worth the wait. When we don't want to wait we get... More
