The first thing I noticed about my room was that, although large by regular hotel standards, was on the small side for a Residence Inn (RI). The room appeared to be about 75% of the size of a typical RI, complete with a refrigerator that's about 75% of a regular fridge and a dishwasher about 75% of a regular dishwasher.... more

The hotel was very clean and well "decorated", equipped with all the amenities one would expect from a nice Residence Inn, but that is where our positive accounting ends. Our room was located on the top floor at the end of the unit, although not in the back. The property borders a railroad track and the noise is unbelieveably loud... more

We have stayed at the Residence Inn Bakersfield for five years attending the annual Street Rod car show held at the fairgrounds. We also are able to coordinate several rooms and they are always so helpful at the front desk. The rooms are super clean (we stay in a double room sharing with another couple) and very private. The beds... more

For over 10 years now, Our family has been coming to Bakersfield for racing events at Famoso Raceway. Residence Inn is always our first choice. We've stayed at many other hotels in the area ( when we didn't get our reservation in quick enough). This hotel has never disappointed us. The staff has always been nice and friendly. The rooms... more

What an impressive one night stay. While traveling from SF to Anaheim, this was the only location we could find a Marriott property, to stay for one night, that would break up the 6 hour drive on I-5. We had a 2 king bed room suite on the second floor. It was updated, clean, spacious. Free internet use too. Used... more

My brief stay at the Residence Inn in Bakersfield CA was a completely worry-free and pleasant experience. The room was clean and large and the price was well worth it. The staff was very courteous and friendly. I looked online at reviews of other hotels with similar ratings and this hotel was the only one with 5 star guest reviews.... more

Property needs some work and repairs. Check your room before settling in to make sure everything is working and included (i.e. dishes, etc.). At least one night, they ran out of food before close of hospitality hours. Usually Residence is better than this one. more

I've been in alot of hotels, this one was great. The location was near everything; across from Barnes and Noble and one mile from the biggest mall. The hotel itself was clean and had everything. If you can stay away from building numbers 6 and 7, they are next to the train tracks, I can feel the foundation thumping ocassionally. more

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. It is a lovely setting, quiet with beautiful lawn, trees (shade!) and landscaping. It was much more than I expected. The staff is friendly and very helpfull. The kitchen has everything you would need from a full size frig., cookware to a dishwasher. You are in walking distance to a variety... more

We had a lovely two-bedroom upstairs unit overlooking a little green area with pine trees and lawn. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. A past reviewer mentioned a train; we did not hear any trains or any other kinds of noise during our stay. The hotel is on a quiet side street away from the busy 99 highway, within... more
