The hotel is located in a good area of Bakerfield and it is actually pretty quiet. The outside of the hotel was clean. The rooms were clearn and nice. the people at the front desk were nice and helpful. I would stay here again .

Traveling weekly for business to Bakersfield. Hill House is conveniently located next to the Amtrak station and Rabobank arena. I always receive a great greeting, clean room, helpful staff. The on sight restaurant is mexican food and the lunch special is not bad for the price.

Stayed here on the way back to Northern California from the Grand Canyon. Check-in was the only hiccup. There was an irate customer on the phone and the front desk clerk did not know how to get them off the phone. So I stood there for five minutes while she kept saying the same thing over and over and over.... More

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our special requests. The room was very clean and comfortable. I like the fact that access to the room areas is by room key card only. The Continental breakfast was very good. This is a very nice place to stay.

From check in to check out the staff at this location went out of their way to make my stay a pleasurable one. I have stayed at this location several times and find it clean, decorated very nice, and very comfy. Beds are very nice, breakfast was tasty. I would recommend this location to all
