We were driving with family and 2 dogs towards LA and we decided to pull up short ans stay in Bakersfield - never been there before, why not see what it has. This Hotel sits amongst a group of 8 Hotels, including Courtyard Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn and Doubletee, Comfort Inn etc, We were surprised that even with the abundance... More

This hotel must have been great in its day, but now it is run down, musty smelling and over priced. Several of us stayed here when we were in class for the railroad, but we ended up moving due to several of the rooms having bed bugs. We later found out this was not the first time bed bug infestations... More

This hotel is in definitely in need of some updates and needs minor repairs here and there. There were some cracks and rust areas in that room that could use a touch up, but overall, this is a nice hotel and I would stay here again. No bed skirts, it didn't make the bed any less comfortable, just seemed odd.

One of the reasons I chose this hotel was for the swimming pool and grounds area, however when we got there a notice was at the desk that the pool and pool area were closed. I guess most rooms have a balcony, but we had the 1st floor which looked out onto a brick wall. The sliding door was hard... More

They closed in the outdoor breeze ways and the new roof/ceilings leak. There were five gallon buckets everywhere to catch the leaks. I stayed there the first time when the Doubletree was booked. The front desk staff at the doubletree called for me. I stayed in a suite that was the only thing available. Room was ok, upstairs with no... More

I really do try and be reasonable in my reviews given the situation (including price, location, and "class" of hotel). The Hotel Rosedale HAS had some updates from some of the previous comments (at least in the "non-pet" section, of which I am currently staying). I do, however, have to express an experience that felt less than comfortable. I happened... More

Must have been an elegant hotel in it's prime. The three stars are for its' outside appearance, the continental bkf (better than most), The restaurant is nice with an outside bar/patio . Live music and bull riding weekends. Kid friendly ( small playground), dog friendly (pay extra for dogs) rooms are large with comfy beds. Has fridge & microwave. For... More

We picked the hotel based on the online reviews and we thought it was decent looking. On the outside it looks fine (the pool seemed nice), but the room wasn't so great. My bed smelled like stale perspiration and the room was very cold. The heater didn't do much, the towels were worn out, and the walls were very thin.... More

Had family in town visiting and for the AYSO soccer tournament. The team was staying at this hotel so they chose this hotel to be with the team. I spent quite a bit of time with them, in addition to helping them get checked in and settled. The staff was ok, not too accommodating but not rude either. The grounds... More

Better facility than one would expect for the price, with a nice central garden and pool area and well furnished clean rooms. Convenient to Highway 99. The price was reasonable for what I got in a room. The facility does not insulate the sound between the upper and lower floors so I was awakened frequently by noises above me. The... More
