I travel to Bakersfield around 3 times a month to visit my girlfriend, and every time I have chosen to stay at the Rosedale. The first time I ever chose to stay here was because of the price difference between The Hilton Double tree. You'll end up paying 30 dollars less on average for a comfortable, clean, and well functioning... More

My stay at the hotel RoseDale started off great! Darian is professional, attentive, and caring. The rooms are nice if I had a complaint it would only be the television which is the tube TV. This is the nice hotel and you get treated very well and I want to thank Darian

This hotel is conveniently close to Highway 99 in Bakersfield, California. We stumbled upon it via Hotwire, and were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable. Given the 100 degree heat in Bakersfield, the fact that the AC was turned on and ready for us in the room was a real plus. They have a great... More

We were driving with family and 2 dogs towards LA and we decided to pull up short ans stay in Bakersfield - never been there before, why not see what it has. This Hotel sits amongst a group of 8 Hotels, including Courtyard Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn and Doubletee, Comfort Inn etc, We were surprised that even with the abundance... More

This hotel must have been great in its day, but now it is run down, musty smelling and over priced. Several of us stayed here when we were in class for the railroad, but we ended up moving due to several of the rooms having bed bugs. We later found out this was not the first time bed bug infestations... More

This hotel is in definitely in need of some updates and needs minor repairs here and there. There were some cracks and rust areas in that room that could use a touch up, but overall, this is a nice hotel and I would stay here again. No bed skirts, it didn't make the bed any less comfortable, just seemed odd.

One of the reasons I chose this hotel was for the swimming pool and grounds area, however when we got there a notice was at the desk that the pool and pool area were closed. I guess most rooms have a balcony, but we had the 1st floor which looked out onto a brick wall. The sliding door was hard... More

They closed in the outdoor breeze ways and the new roof/ceilings leak. There were five gallon buckets everywhere to catch the leaks. I stayed there the first time when the Doubletree was booked. The front desk staff at the doubletree called for me. I stayed in a suite that was the only thing available. Room was ok, upstairs with no... More

I really do try and be reasonable in my reviews given the situation (including price, location, and "class" of hotel). The Hotel Rosedale HAS had some updates from some of the previous comments (at least in the "non-pet" section, of which I am currently staying). I do, however, have to express an experience that felt less than comfortable. I happened... More

Must have been an elegant hotel in it's prime. The three stars are for its' outside appearance, the continental bkf (better than most), The restaurant is nice with an outside bar/patio . Live music and bull riding weekends. Kid friendly ( small playground), dog friendly (pay extra for dogs) rooms are large with comfy beds. Has fridge & microwave. For... More
