I stayed here in June 2009 and it still haunts me so badly I finally decided I needed to write a review and stop others from making the same mistake. Ironically, I live in Las Vegas and could have been home in another two hours, but after the all day trauma of having a Park Ranger rescue me after my... More

Drive through town and stop at the thermometer, then get out of town fast, never spend the night in this town. If you do have to spend the night, sleep in your car NOT the Royal Hawaiian. the most over priced slum that I have ever stayed at. The other 2 motels did not look any better.

I pulled in to this establishement a fine night in july 2006. The price was however much to high. I sleept in my car in the nice desert styled back yard and my sleep was peaceful and enjoyable. I recommend everyone to avoid actually entering the motel, the desert is perfect for sleeping in cars.

First of all, never stay in Baker. That is a rule for all, not a suggestion. This is the worst road-stop town in the US, bar none. Arnies Royal Hawaiian Motel is the worst of the choices there. Our group didn't have a choice for places to stay since the town was full from the cyclists that were part of... More

The seven hours it took to get to Baker from Vegas on a Thanksgiving weekend because of traffic accidents was heaven compared to this wanna be "My Name is Earl" roach infested, sour smelling, no heat working, drug addicts paradise. Find a meth lab a couple miles outside of town for better accomidations. Smiley Face

A very large room with table, chairs and refrigerator. The furniture is on the worn side and the carpet looks like it was left over from a Chevvy van. The linens are rough and the cold and hot water faucets are reversed. Bring your own alarm clock and shampoo. But everything is clean and the price is right. A Denny’s... More

My transmission blew just out of Baker, so my truck got towed to the only mechanic in town (that's another story). The mechanic wasn't going to work on it until the next day, so we walked to the nearest motel, Arne's. Had to pay in advance. The first thing I noticed was the smell of the room..really bad! The carpet... More

We stayed here only 1 night on our way from Death Valley to Mojave National Preserve. This motel was probably a jewel in the 70s, but it is now run down and neglected. The carpet was gross, and the property a little scary. There's even a junkyard behind the motel. We ate at the Greek restaurant another reviewer recommended and... More

Yes, it ain't the Ritz (nothing in Baker is, mind), but it has its' charm. We stopped there on our way out of Death Valley, so we could make a very early morning start into the Mojave. Dennis is only across the road and is open all night, so breakfast was no problem. The rooms were large, the beds were... More
