Entering this place was already a little strange. There was so much staff that they all expect one of their colleagues to serve their customers. It turned out to be the theme of this guest house. First, they didn't help us at the reception desk for like ten minutes (too busy with discussing the world cup, I guess). Second, we... More

We stayed here as part of a group as we were getting up at 3am to see sunrise over Mt Bromo, 30 minutes away. The accommodation is basic, some have ensuite facilities but some have shared. Most have no hot water and you have to use the separate two showers in the grounds that do. The location is great with... More

Really not a lot of postive things I can say about this guesthouse. Rooms are horribly overpriced, staff is slow and unfriendly, rooms are worn out and most things need fixing or replacing. The rooms probably were pretty nice once and still look pretty, same for the whole garden and restaurant, but thats about it, everything else is pretty bad,... More

Expensive for the level of service. The restaurant looks very nice but food is not great and rather expensive for the area. The room economy rooms are no good and the common bathroom close to disgusting. The tours organized by the hotel are also not cheap.

We had booked a private tour for Ijen and Mt Bromo. On arrival we were taken to a small room with a smaller bed .on asking that our room be changed as two people could not fit into the let, let alone sleep .After much argument the manager agreed to change our room, which was a little better! We shared the... More

Came here as part of an Intrepid tour. It is very quirkily decorated, the restaurant was very nice for an evening meal and breakfast. The sleeping quarters were another story. We only stayed here one night with the 2.30am wake up call to go see the Mt Bromo sunrise. The room walls were paper and it was a shared bathroom... More

After staying one night at a horrible guesthouse in Bromo, with angry staff, this was such a great alternative. The staff was super nice and helpful. Food was good, room ok. They need to give more blankets, I was freezing all night. But other than that it was great and I wish I could have stayed one day longer!

We were not expecting good things here as we had read the not so good reviews. However it was fine. I don't have champagne taste on a beer budget. I also knew that this was closer to the viewing point than other hotels. Check in was easy and staff were nice. Our room was fine, we expected cheech n chong... More

Wohaa... it was definitely an experience staying here... I loved almost all parts of my stay. reached here at 9.30 in the night the surroundings were completely dark and the weather was quite cold. We had taken a 4 bed cottage the place is nicely done the interior looks different though.. please don't expect a 5 star resort comforts here..... More

We went here on a private tour to Bromo/Ijen, we were given a two storeys room with shared bathroom for three rooms, that was almost decent, no frills at all, shower had only warm (not hot) water and pressure was insufficient. We stayed there for one night, with an early call to go and see sunrise at Bromo. Location is... More
