I chose Bambusa for my first annual Father/Son trip and was so glad I did. Spent 4 nights here in April with my 5 year old son, we had a blast, and were very well taken care of by Pablo and his staff. The location is hard to beat, one of the most gorgeous settings anywhere in the world with... More

We stayed here in 2010 and was very quite, we were the only people in the hotel, had the swimming pool to ourselves and wildlife around was abundant . The food was wonderfully fresh and eating outdoors with the hummingbirds feeding was very special.

We spent two nights in Bambusa in early May 2015. Already first impression was friendly and welcoming; offered tangerine juice refreshed after early morning flight. Bambusa’s staff was very friendly and service orientated. Special thanks to manager Pablo. One of the reasons why Bambusa is so special is the excellent cook. Starting from the breakfast everything was fresh and tasty.... More

This hotel will not be for everyone, but that is what makes it so perfect. Set on a beautiful 400 acre plot of farmland (cocoa, tropical fruit, cows) nestled in between rolling lush green mountains, Pablo and his crew have created a comfortable and intimate setting where you can enjoy the surroundings with incredible scenery. Think green green green with... More

Joseph- Thanks for this contribution. You are right, it does feel like backpacking for grownups some times! That was a magical combination of great people from all over the world to have with us at Bambusa at one time during your stay. You are right that Bambusa is not for everyone, we do see people arrive after the long bumpy... More

My husband and I recently spent three nights here for a little "baby moon" and wow, what an incredible time we had! I wish we spent a whole week here. We left feeling relaxed yet rejuvenated and excited for the rest of our trip. The hotel just re-opened again under the great new management team, all of whom we met... More

It was great having you both (actually the three of you!) here with us and we are happy to hear how much you enjoyed yourselves! We have cribs and everything so next time you need a break, come back as a family! We have many expat families in Bogota that work at the Embassies and Consulates that come down to... More

Bambusa had just re-opened when we arrived (Jan 2015) under new management. The first impression is amazing, the hacienda is so beautiful and well done with beautiful, manicured grounds and the incredible scenery of the zona cafetera all around. It's incredibly peaceful and one immediately realizes how much bio diversity there is everywhere with dozens of bird and plant species... More

Frank G- Wow, I don't even know how to respond. We have shared your feedback with everyone here at Bambusa (even saw Coscorro yesterday and showed him, he sends saludos!) and it has filled us with such pride! You are right about feeling guilty sharing it with everyone to keep it as your special place, we feel the same way,... More

You wake up to birds singing (the rooms are each named after a type of bird), the rising sun over the mountains, drink some freshly squeezed juice (orange, mango, guanabana, to name a few) and/or coffee to go with a breakfast of eggs & arepas with more fresh fruit and it is then that you realize "This place is breath-taking!"... Kenny- We miss you all! It was an honor to have your entire family here over the holidays for a week. Bambusa felt empty after you all left, that was possibly the largest number of people we have ever had at the property! Hunter posted a great video of the hot air balloon ride on Facebook and we posted some... More

My husband and I just spent 4 nights at Hacienda Bambusa. The service and cleanliness are on par with the price, and the physical beauty of the Hacienda is stunning. We went for the full package (excursions & meals) and were not disappointed. We especially enjoyed our Andes tour with Omar and the coffee tasting with Franciny. Tour guide Diego... More
