Yes the design and décor is dated but the experience of the thermal waters is timeless. We loved the spa bathroom The service is good without being overwhelming. The restaurant menu is limited and might be a problem if you stayed for more than two days. It is a place to make the most of the facilities before moving on

We stayed here for two nights on our way down from Chachapoyas to Trujillo. The hotel is someway out of the town of Cajamarcas, which is perhaps an advantage, as it was quiet and peaceful. The design of the hotel is somewhat dated, with a single story arm extending from the reception area. As we were the last room on... More

On a recommendation from a family member (in law side) stayed at Laguna Seca for 3 days 2 nights from 18-20 August 2014. What a great place. Inca thermal bath right outside my door was superb! I highly recommend a trip here for a couple of days of relaxation. I did a massage and facial at spa and it was... More

Spent 4 nights 5 days at Laguna Seca for New years, it is a bit out of the way (8km 12 Sole cab from plaza de armas, free airport shuttle) but it is worth it. Very quiet and peaceful, the 3 thermal swimming pools are excellent as are the in room bathtubs, the staff are excellent. We had adjoining rooms... More

I stayed for a couple of days, the junior suite was clean with a big king size bed, the receptionist failed to informed us of all the facilities of the hotel. It is a pity that the hotel will not accept credit cards, I had to pay directly to the Hotel bank account in Lima and send the receipt to... More

This attractive hacienda-style hotel complex, just outside Cajamarca, was a great find for us. We'd love to go back. Other reviews do not sufficiently emphasize how attractive are the extensive grounds, with flowering hibiscus bushes everywhere, and how exotic it is to have hot thermal waters running along small canals through these grounds. In the mornings, steam from these thermal... More

It´s a hotel located very close to the city, if you wish to go downtown the taxi fare is no more than US$4 and ten minutes travel time, and something important about them, are safe. The hotel is not new, it was build like a traditional hacienda style, but it is comfortable enough according his 4* cathegory. I think it... More

This was an absolutely lovely place out in the country. The grounds were gorgeous, with canals carrying hot water running throughout the property. The room itself (a junior suite) was surprisingly small but the bathroom was huge with a gigantic tub you could fill with the hot water. There are two restaurants on the property with pretty decent food. The... More

The highlight of our stay was the gigantic and relaxing bath in our room. The huge bath (pretty much the size of a private hot tub) alone made the splurge worth it after a 14 hour journey from Chachapoyas on the Virgen del Carmen. The food is decent enough. The on-site zoo was interesting and surprisingly diverse. The property is... More
