Very comfy and quiet hostel set around two beautiful courtyards just next to the Plaza de armas. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. The breakfast at the expresso bar is really worth it as well. It's the perfect place to take a rest a couple of days after some travelling

This is a great affordable place to stay in Cajamarca. Very basic but clean, Andean colonial style with a nice courtyard and a small caffè. Good location, short walk to the central Plaza de Armas. The staff is very friendly and can help to book local tours for Baños del Inca, etc.

We found this hostal to be a very relaxing place, in an old characterful building with a lovely courtyard garden and the nicest coffee bar in town with inside and outside seating overlooking a further rear garden. Right near the central Plaza de Armas it is perfectly positioned for exploring the town. Rooms are simple but adequate, although the pillows... More

Hi, I was an international teacher in Cajamarca for 2012 and 2013. The cafe at Los Jasmines, was a tranquil oasis that I looked forward to once a weekend. Just a beautiful restful place where people gather to discuss their exploits over some cafe or cocoa. I usually sat and did some school work or catch up on emails. I... More

Stayed here 4 nights when suffering a bit from travel fatigue but a good place to haul up in a well priced single room with cable tv! Nice courtyard and rustic feel but very clean and well looked after. I was in a non ensuite room which meant I needed a different key to use the bathroom down the hall... More

Welcoming atmosphere, comfortable room on the main street side that was not noisy at night. Porches on which to relax, talk, enjoy the flowered courtyard, and use the internet made this an excellent spot for early morning and late afternoon. The cafe was delicious, especially the fruit and yogurt, fresh juices, and coffee! The location was very convenient for walking... More

First of all, we were floored by the prices hotels were asking for a private room in Cajamarca. We tried 5 other places before Los Jasmines and every one was between 110-140 soles for a very basic room with no breakfast included. We were able to get a room at Los Jasmines for 80 soles with a private bathroom (no... More

Los Jazmines is a great place to stay and very close to the Plaza de Armas. It is kind of hidden away as it doesn't have a big shiny entrance as the hotel next door, but it's a jewel in its own kind. My room was on the other end of the court yard, away from the street, with a... More

On arrival the hostal looked great... A nice big open courtyard/garden. An espresso cafe! The room looked good and although overpriced we decided to stay. First there was no hot water, they had to go turn that on and would take a few hours. When it did warm up it provided 3 minutes of luke warm water. It turns out... More
