My now 83 yo dad has taken my husband and me and our kids backcountry canoeing in Algonquin Park several times. Wanting to give him a special treat and knowing that the two of us together could not portage a canoe, I elected the lodge for a 2-night early fall visit. It's definitely both pricey and rustic, but the surroundings... More

We have stayed many times. As soon as you pull in you are treated like family. The cabins are comfortable and private, each with a view of the lake. The food is prepared by a master chef and there is always homemade cookies in the great room. Poppy and Eric are wonderful hosts and the staff are extremely friendly and... More

We booked a 2 night stay in the lodge as we wanted to spend time exploring the trails of Algonquin Park. In the end, we bought a wonderful experience in the lodge. All 3 meals were included in the price. And if you were to use the afternoon to explore the park, they'll pack a sumptuous picnic basket that you... More

We stayed in cabin #1 and it was perfect. It was private and quiet and had a nice big deck, and with it's own small beach which was great for launching the canoe. The view of the lake with the thick mist rising off it in the morning from our bed was wonderful. We watched the sun rise over hills... More

This is a fabulous place to go to and unwind & decompress from city life! Nature at its finest with a trip to the dining room for three fantastic meals each day. The hospitality & friendliness of everyone at Killarney was well received and appreciated. We would definitely go back!!

Killarney Lodge is a nice place to go if you can afford it. I think all 3 lodges in the park are over priced but that's why they can set the standard on pricing because of less competition. It is almost getting to the point where I won't be going to Algonquin any more because of the expense in lodging,... More

Very friendly and dedicated staff. Excellent vegetarian food. All snakes and soft drinks free. Take your own alcohol. Canoes available for the lake, great, although we did capsize when docking due to rocky shore.Lakeside cabin 16 was great. Comfortable room, a little dark. Shared deck and a problem as the occupants of the other cabin were heavy smokers which spoiled... More

As a group of 3, we stayed for one night at the lodge as a prelude to a 7 day interior canoe trip. The setting on a peninsula jutting out into the Lake of Two Rivers is beautiful and most cabins have a reasonable amount of privacy. Amenities include a guest lounge in a separate log building, a sandy beach... More

On Labour Weekend, we had the unexpected opportunity to stay at 2 of the 3 lodges in Algonquin Park - Killarney Lodge and Arowhon Pines (the 3rd is Bartlett Lodge). And for the same money, Arowhon beats Killarney by a mile (or kilometre, as we say in Canada). These are very, very expensive lodges - about $750-$800 per couple, per... More

I heard about this lodge from a friend who had stayed for just one day with her husband. As always, I did my research and it seemed to be what I was looking for - a few days of hiking and relaxation to celebrate a friend's 60 birthday. We had originally booked in for last Sept but days before we... More
