This was our THIRD stay here … and I'm very disappointed to say we won't be back again. First the positive: We love the location next to Algonquin Park and as always, we had a great time exploring the various trails, hand-feeding wild birds, taking nature photos, etc., etc.! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We like them very... More

Had a nice overnight in the St. Lucia cabin - all the comforts with the appeal of a cabin. Had a large hottub and fireplace. The manager is also the chef and we had a delicious meal! Bring your own wine (no charge). Skidoo trails near by though we just walked near the river.

Just came back from a weekend there - it was great - cabins were clean and cozy -food was amazing and the desserts even better - breakfast was yummy too. We enjoyed some snow shoeing on the local trails. Staff was great! Definitely would recommend and will definitely go back.

My spouse and I have stayed at Adventure Lodge 6 or 7 times. We love to hike or snowshoe in Algonquin Park and in the warm weather the kayaks provided are great for exploring the Madawaska River. There is no whitewater for a long ways south of the falls at the lodge... one can paddle and explore for quite awhile.... More

I spent 3 nights there last November. The cabins were very dirty, washrooms very outdated, and the food was a disaster. The only good thing was the staff was friendly. Not worth the money and would not return. Would not recommend this to anyone. Ed

Hello Ed. Sorry you feel this way. Great to hear that you loved Ken and Penny as your Hosts. Not sure what you mean very dirty, as Ken and Penny go out of their way to make everything right, you just need to talk with them if it is not. The Cabins are Authentic Canadiana Log Cabins so the feel... More

I found this place through a link from Couples Inn website, where I had originally planned to go. I thought the log cabin option sounded nice. I booked Dec 30 (my husband's 60th birthday) and Dec. 31 (new years eve). The cost for two nights, two breakfasts and two dinners was over $1,000. We had booked horseback riding for Dec... More

Thank you for your review. But I do not respond to personal requests based on extortion, sorry it is a principle thing. The Adventure lodge is not the 5 Star Couples Resort, so your expectation was perverse. You could have paid double to three times at the Couples Resort for a Cabin and received what you were looking for, but... More

Myself and the wife returned for our 3rd "post new years" arrival in a row. As usual Ken Took care of us with pride and Penny backed him up until an unfortunate kitchen incident left her nursing her hand the rest of the week. Get better Penny! ;) Our room was spotless and very warm, despite the -28 temperatures outside.... More

We stayed 2 nights in the beginning of November. The cabin was very nice. We were in one of the grand cabins. The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace was great. I didn't like the dinner we had the first night (steak). Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the dinner on the second night (pork). The pie for dessert... More
