I think the last post should be in the radio free zone or out at one of the many portage camp sites that are in Algonquin Park. People do come and go from the camp sites and yes kids run around and make a little noise but that is camping. 10 am at night is really not that bad and... More

each year its gotten worse at Pog Lake. due to a lack of enforcement staff, its party central, don't go here. The staff drive around at 6 or 7 pm in their trucks, and you don't see them again until 10 am. Good luck getting any sleep, as people who camp at POG Lake don't seem to give a damn... More

We have been going to Algonquin Park for nearly 15 years now and mostly to Kearney Lake and have loved every minute of it. This year we tried pog just for a change because we heard a lot of good things about the camp site. Firstly it is a beautiful lake with small rivers running off of it going to... More

My family and I loved camping here, and can't wait to go back next summer! We were in the radio-free tent area, which has a nice elevated view of the lake. Most of the spots were full, but it is very spread out and there are lots of trees, so we didn't feel crowded. The nearby beach was lovely to... More

We had a lovely time camping with family at the Pog Lake Campground. It was quite far off the highway, book the 400 sites, and was absolutely stunning! The campground had a small beach, access to the rail trail, and lots of paths to meander through. It was very private and the towering pines were great shelter for both rain... More

Each summer we spend 5 days at a Provincial Park Campground. This year we chose Pog Lake campground "A" at Algonquin Park. We had an amazing water view site (site #124). The site was large enough for two sleeping tents plus our dining tent and our van with plenty of room left over for kids to play. We were two... More

Boyfriend and I stayed here on our way to Ottawa. Site 189 (non-electric) was on top of a little hill. Little tight to fit a vehicle but our car fit fine. Privacy was not that great in front of us but there was no one behind us. Bathrooms and showers were right beside us which was great! Both were very... More

We liked Pog lake. We have been to camp at almost every campground in Algonquin along Hwy60 and this one was very nice. The comfort station was very clean. The forest was very clean and I loved the straight/tall trees. The sites were generous and had a good amount of privacy despite the tall trees. We found the whole campground... More

Pog Lake is a good campground for car camping and there is enough variety in the area to make a couple of interesting out-and-back day trips with the canoe. Pog Lake is also a drop point for the Portage Store canoe rentals.
