very beautiful campground, its small and quiet. the only downside for me its there is no shower there, so you might need to bring a shower bag or just swim at the lake (WATCH OUT FOR LEECHS) there is canoe rental there, and the cost ~$35/day. overall this is the most beautiful and quiet campground i've ever been, and the... Peaceful, beautiful, nice camp grounds. It`s out of the way so when we were there it was basically vacant and we easily booked a waterfront space. We docked our canoes right at our site and we spent a whole day exploring the lake. I would gladly make the drive (from Barrie) again to spend a couple days here.

We stayed at the Kiosk campground which is located about 20 min west of Mattawa (or 45 min east of North Bay). The Good The campground it small (only 24 sites) so it is nice and quiet. Sites 1 - 17 have a flush toilet, a sink and a water station for drinkable water. You can buy firewood and kindling... More

We have just spent a week camping at Kiosk campground and am already missing it. What a lovely place, quiet and peaceful and not forgetting all the critters that come for sunflower seeds. Can't wait to get back there.

Camped at Kiosk from Oct 4th - 7th. We booked campsite #20 and couldn't have been happier. The western portion of the campground was all ours with none of the other sites near us occupied. It was my wifes first time camping, so I wanted to have a quiet experience without the risk of rowdy or annoying neighbors. Success! The... More

Very well kept campground. The lady at "reception" was very friendly and helpful. The Algonquin outfitters deliver your canoe or kayak for you, to the campground and don't charge delivery. We were here July 19-23 and can't wait to come back. A lot of the experience does depend on the neighbours, but it's such a nice small campground and not... More

Great spot to really 'get away from it all', as you indeed are very much 'away'. Previous reviewers summed it up nicely, but I thought I'd add a few things. The beach is small but not busy and very nice. The water there is very gradual entry and great for little kids. The bugs were fairly aggressive after rain, so... More

Me and my two children (15, 13) stayed here in August 2012. Gorgeous scenery, amazing kayaking and no cell phone service (yeaa; for all you parents of teens, you know what I mean). The campsites are kind of close but if you are like us you are hardley there. Toilets nearest us were outhouse compost (cedar building) no smell and... More

Spent 7 days in Kiosk campground and it was awsome. Well cared for campground with the lake fronting it and Algonquin park on three sides. The lake is large and deep with sandy inlets ideal kayaking (canoe and PFD rental) . Fishing too was good and we caught brook trout about half a mile walk away. There are rivers to... More
