What a fantastic and well organised setup and operation is managed by all staff. Kim and Jeff's warm welcome and knowledge of the great outdoors. Our son loved Jeff's fireside stories and I heard him relay the story to a friend later in our holiday. Greg the chef - boy the man can cook. The food at the retreat and... More

This l text box doesn't seem to be enough to express the outstanding experience we had with Kieran and Tom on the Wildlife Safari Wolf Howl. Not only were we surrounded in beauty, but Kieran and Tom's professionalism, expertise, encouragement, patience, endurance and adventurous personalities are what really made this experience a one-of-a-kind. Because the trip is really "roughing it"... More

Myself, my wife, my son & daughter (age 11 & 15) did the Tea with Moose explorers cabin package. We went canoeing up the Amable river, mountain biking and paddle boarding. We stayed in the cabins which were very comfortable. Chef Gregs food was outstanding but the best part was our guides, Jeff and Kim, who were great teachers and... More

We were part of a group of 18 people that just returned from the 4 day/3 night explorers cabin experience at the Northern edge. It was excellent! We did know 2 other people in the group, but we did not know the others. You can choose to do whichever activities you want, but there would always be some others participating... More

This wilderness retreat was just what we were looking for: a variety of activities, charm, ++nature and 'not-so-rugged' comfort over our 3-day weekend. The absolute warm welcome started with our CEO (chief experience officer) Kiernan, who was THE ultimate guide. His wit, humour, world-experience, politeness and gentle motivation was exactly what we needed to enjoy our stay to the fullest.... More

My girlfriend and I just returned from a 3 night/4 day stay (July 17-20) at the Northern Edge Algonquin...and we got more than we could have ever imagined! We participated in the Explorer's Cabin Package and were upgrade to a room with a compost toilet, which came in handy in the early mornings. The room was very large with a... More

An idyllic location, well-suited to the Shamanic Heart Growth program I had gone there for. It boasts abundant greenery, scenic views of Lake Kawawaymog and a peaceful stillness to which the soul is wonderfully responsive. Facilities include a well-appointed multi-purpose upstairs room suitable for group gatherings, a stand-alone private meditation room, a labyrinth, fire-pit, as well as an in-house canoeing... More

This was the perfect environment for me to escape the chaos of work and the city. The place is really beautiful and scenic. This trip also gave me time to reflect and get myself centred. The trip guides are really friendly and helpful. Will go again maybe fall this time. It's a real nature lovers paradise. Highly recommend.
