Dec 30, 2009 | Trip type: Family

In October we stayed at the Inn and were given the family room in the annex in the building across the road. This room was clean and spacious and had a room off with 2 single beds for the kids. We booked the 'winter deal'- £160 per/person for 3 nights dinner bed and breakfast. This was a bargain as the... more

Lovely setting, excellent sea food and great hospitality at the Plockton Inn. It always delivers. Extensive menu with choices for all, seafood is the main option but there are steaks and veggie dishes too. more

To start with a little bit of advice, especially in light of some previous comments. It has been suggested that it would be a good idea to book a room in the annexe to get a good view. I did that and we got a room on the top floor to get the best view, but essentially it is an... more

We travelled to Plockton by train as we wanted to experience the Kyle of Lochalsh line and have time to enjoy the scenery. We had a room in the annexe which was a very good size as was the bathroom. The hospitality tray was more than adequate. The staff were very friendly and we had a lovely evening trying the quiz... more

We stayed here for the first time on the Inn's Autumn Gold tariff and it turned out to be sensational value for money. The menu is vast for a place this size and everything cooked to perfection by the owner. Ok the bed was a bit lumpy, but not enough in itself to complain about. This is an Inn, not... more

Sep 30, 2009 | Trip type: Couples

We stayed in July for 2 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved Plockton. But the room was not as scrupulously clean as I would have expected. Of the b & b's during our trip this was the most expensive - not value for money. Our room was in the main building at the back - there was no... more

Sep 26, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

This is an ideal place to stay if you like friendly staff and good food; with the locals in the Bar adding to the atmosphere but not too loudly! The Inn is unpretentious and comfortable, the staff friendly , cheerful and helpful. The food was excellent and freshly prepared for every meal we had in the attractive dining-room. The bedrooms... more

Filthy rooms, rude and ignorant staff (mostly youth club). The most unsatisfactory experience we have ever had. The cost is totally extortionate - we would find it hard to justify the cost of a youth hostel or the state of the rooms. Maybe the Annexe is better who knows, but the main hotel should be shut down and the staff... more

Desperately disappointed when I had heard so many good reports about this Inn. I will try to review this restaurant with complete honesty and to that aim I am bound to point out that it is a long season in Plockton and a busy one, so everyone is tired and ready for a break, at the same time as you,... more
