Yet another enjoyable stay in the Plockton Hotel. We have stayed there at least 4 times a year for many years and have never been disappointed. This time it was to celebrate a special birthday and the quality of food and accommodation once again lived up to our high expectations. A friendly welcome is guaranteed and our friends are always... more

The Pearson family have run the Plockton Hotel for many years, and have many customers, like us, who come back time and again, knowing we will get a warm welcome, top class service and highly satisfying pub-style food. The best rooms look past palm trees and across the bay to layers of mountains. Sunsets especially are amazing. Decor is attractive... more

The location is great and the staff are friendly and generally try but at c.£120 per night this hotel is taking the pi55 - and due to the idyllic location perhaps it can get away with it. Two main problems with this place: 1. The food 2. The mediocre rooms. Given they have some superb produce in this area, the... more

After reading the good reviews about this hotel we decided it would be the idyllic place to spend our honeymoon. After months of planning you can imagine our disappointment when whilst at our wedding reception we were told via telephone that we were in the wrong room and the hotel staff would have to move all our personal belongings to... more

Quaint area but mediocre inn—cheap hollow core doors, minimally soundproofed with audible conversations and noises from adjoining rooms. Drunken evening receptionist couldn’t figure out how to hand out keys. Wireless network security improperly configured so internet access basically non-existent . So-called "honeymoon suite" just a larger space--and not worth the price which was double that of four star accommodation in... more

Spent one night at the gorgeous hamlet of Plockton- after all the years it still takes my breath away..we visited 30 years ago and have had repeat visits over the years…this time seemed even better….the tourist crowds were not there and the township had a very pleasant relaxed feel (I gather after talking to people within the town that the... more

we lunched at the hotel. After waiting 30 mins for just a prawn starter we asked if we had been forgotten as many who came in after us had eaten and finished. We were told no and that they were served first as they had ordered main meal! Her attittude was very rude. When the food finally came there were... more

We stayed one night in Plockton, a really scenic village near the Isle of Skye, overlooking a sea loch, which you can sail out onto on very enjoyable boat trips The Plockton Hotel is set on the main street of the village, overlooking the loch, and the gulf stream gives the place an unusual feel with palm trees set amongst... more
