The rooms have alot of character and Julia is very friendly and accommodating. You can come and go as you please because the door is never locked. You do however have a key to lock your individual room. The home cooked breakfast was delicious and there is a wide selection for those with meal restrictions. Will definitely be going back... More

Recently spent a couple of nights in this beautiful Village and found this B& B via the Plockton Website. Captains House is over 200 years old and a lovely family home. We were made very welcome by Julie and enjoyed our breakfasts round a huge table with the other guests.

I selected this B & B on what I had read on other reviews on the internet. I was not disapointed. The room we had was large, was decorated with traditional furnishings - the bed was just right - I like it firm, but comfortable too. The en suite was small and functional. (my husband says it had good quality... More

The Captains House is a real gem. It is a lovely traditional B&B with comfortable spacious rooms, great breakfast, superb hospitality, great price and great location. It is about as far away as possible from what you get with these horrible chain type lodges. It is tastefully furnished with family antiques and heirlooms and has a great history. Many thanks... We have no hesitation in recommending this B&B in lovely Plockton. Julia Asiedhu and her family made us so welcome. The beds are comfortable, the rooms furnished with antiques and the breakfasts are ample, made with locally sourced ingredients with lots of delicious choice. For a short break there is no need to have a car as the local train... More

Captains House – Julia Asiedu – 2, Innes Street, Plockton. Really – I do not know why it took med years to write this short review. Maybe it is the same reason, why I always forgot to write a short comment in Julia’s guestbook? Just a line or two? I – and my wife – have stayed here for three... More

Lovely warm welcome, very clean, great breakfast, and the rooms are so full of interest and real charm, unbelievable for the price. We were two couples and this place just fit the bill, and is so reasonable. Book now!!!

This was a great find in Plockton, Scotland - warm and friendly hosts and a wonderful corner room with a view to the water. The Captain's House is filled with great antiques and feels like a step back in time. Delicious breakfast and very reasonably priced....would recommend it highly to any traveler.

We were so happy to be shown to our beautiful room at the Captain's House in Plockton and to find that, despite being just off the main street, that through one of the 2 windows we had a lovely view of the bay. The room itself was furnished with antique furniture and full of interesting books and pictures which were... More
