I stayed here whilst attempting the End to End walk. I arrived very tired after a long hot days walk and was immediately shown to my room with no fuss, was asked if I wanted my kit washing and within minutes was showered and relaxing. Great welcome, lovely people! The guest house is ideally situated for the hotels and restaurants... More

We had a very spacious suite of rooms and, although it was on a main road corner, it was very quiet. We walked to Castle Varrich in the afternoon and later across to the Tongue Hotel, where, courtesy of the hosts, we had a discount voucher for our evening meal. Kippers for breakfast the next morning from Angela and Jimmie... More

We found this a comfortable, clean and quiet B&B on the road to the Orkney ferry. The facilities were modern, the breakfast extensive and well prepared, and the price represented good value for money.

We came across this lovely place whole driving through far north Scotland. Stayed in a twin room upstairs. It was immaculate and very comfortable, and the couple who own it are relaxed and welcoming and good humoured. Breakfast was also delicious and generous. Quality produce. Would happily have stayed more than one night, but we had other places to be.... More

We arrived by chance and were welcomed with open arms. A great room and excellent breakfast. Angela was very gracious and helpful as to the local sights and a good place for an evening meal. If you are the area and looking for a place to stay, this is it! Very clean and reasonably priced. One of our best choices... More

Brilliant Guest House - 2 employees stayed here whilst working in the area. They could not fault the accommodation, hosts or food and they were looked after impeccably, with nothing being too much trouble. We highly recommend Tigh-Nan-Ubhal and will certainly be using them for any future trips to the area. Many thanks R.W. BELL (electrical)

This beautifully presented guest house is well worth a stay. I arrived on spec and greeted with a friendly face. The room was more of a suite with a bedroom area throughout to a dressing room and then thought to the en suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. The following morning started with a... More
