We stayed in Lochinver for one night at Tigh Na Sith guest house, which I would thoroughly recommend and wandered over to the Wayfarers Arms at the Culag for a couple of drinks. The first person we encountered was Phil, a great host who made some helpful recommendations regarding the whiskies on sale. He seemed like a really nice guy.... More

Wonderful people who made us feel very welcome. We were quite a big group and sheila provided lovely breakfasts and nice packed lunches. The adjoining bar is great place to meet the locals. The hotel has A LOT of character and would be a great place for ghost hunters to visit.

Went here last night with my 2 daughters, season is nearly closed but the people we're overly lovely to us. Spoke to a few ladies and all were even more lovely than our meal. Our meal was great though and the fish was great ....no bones :)

Warm welcome from the proprietors. An interesting baronial style building. Breakfast was excellent, set me up for the day. Fish and chips for dinner was superb, really fresh HUGE haddock. Excellent value for money. Fantastic array of Malt Whisky in the bar.

The hotel was not horrible, but lacked in ambiance: the lounge area was dead and the room was very plain. I was not pleased that breakfast was not included in the price. The window blinds did not work very well and even when we had finally managed to lower them fully (the turning knob literally had a kirby grip stuck... More

Bar food is reasonably priced and although not top cheftastic is nice and filling after a day out walking. Good bar with lots of whiskey and drafts at normal prices. Best bar and bar menu in lochinver.

Stayed here for one night and found everyone very friendly. Hotel is a lovely building although a little tired in areas but this did not spoil our stay in the least. There is a lift to all floors & our en-suite room was quiet, comfortable and clean with everything needed including a tea & coffee tray. We had an evening... More

Stopped off in Lochinver on a motorcycling tour of Scotland and stayed in this hotel. Great hosts and very comfy hotel. Lift to all floors was a boon after arriving loaded with luggage and tired. Meals were excellent, freshly cooked and generous in size. Great selection of whiskies on display in the bar - prices very reasonable! Rooms are a... More

We stayed here for three nights bed and breakfast. Hotel rather tired and dull but good value £79 a night for bed and breakfast for 2. Stafff very pleasant and it was great to have a bath after the walk up Suilven! Breakfast was basic but freshly cooked and with good quality ingredients.

Had a lovely meal in the bar, simple and very reasonably priced menu. Food was basic but very good and comes in huge portions, fish and chips are as good as I've had anywhere. No shortage of choice at the bar and the amount of malts on offer is mind boggling! Barman was very friendly and kept us very entertained... More
