Very friendly & helpful staff. Good value bar food, great breakfast. Impressive range of malt whiskys. Don't be decieved by the exterior which obviously requires a bit of maintenance, the new owners have obviously concentrated on the interior first. Comfortable & tidy. Obviously still the odd minor thing is still work in progress but very much on the right track.... more

We had a lovely overnight stay. Our en-suite room was very comfortable, the kitchen produced home-made food, prices were very good, and the overall service of the manager was excellent. I realise he has recently taken on this Hotel, things were seemingly work-in-progress, but this did not affect our stay or enjoyment in any way. Best of luck to the... more

This place has been taken over by new owners. What a difference! Tony at the bar is so accommodating and nothing is a problem. The place in now very clean and homely and the food is very good and so reasonable in price. It has certainly changed for the better since being taken over and is now a friendly, relaxing... more

I've stayed here several times over the last few years, on my way to and from the Highlands. The welcome has always been warm, thr rooms spotlessly clean and the food good. It's family- and dog-friendly and there's a superb library in which to relax. I can recommend to anybody. more

My wife and I went to this place (travelling form the US), when it was under the previous owners. It is no wonder that they couldn't get the place to work for them because the guy himself well he was just so unwelcoming and even rude to me, for no reason. He asked me what I did for a living,... more

I stayed at the Munro Inn a few nights ago and very much enjoyed it. The new owners had only been in charge a few days and made me feel very welcome. The room was well furnished, plenty of towels and toiletries, comfortable bed, good shower and free Wi-Fi. The food is good quality bar food and very reasonably priced.... more

If this was the last place on earth I still would not go back and stay there. Eight of us were booked in for three nights and we only stayed for one and even that was too long!!! The hotel is run down, dirty, dark and dingy and there was no way on this earth we were going to eat there,... more

Can' t say I recognise the first review as being the same place! Really enjoyed our stay. It's a nice relaxed place in an ideal location for getting out and about. Family and dog friendly. Good bike route from Strathyre to Callander. more

My partner and I stayed at the Inn for four days this time having been there before. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. The food and service were excellent. The owners Jon and Brendan go out of their way to ensure that people enjoy their stay. We will go back as soon as we can. more
