My pal and I travelled to Strathyre as a base to explore Perthshire and the surrounding countryside and villages. Our overnight stay coincided with the Inn's Halloween Night, which filled us with trepidation as this was not something we would normally attend. How wrong could we be!! We enjoyed a fabulous evening which included singing, fancy dress, and a Halloween... More

We travelled in September. It was fine though I expected it to be better. The bathroom we had was small and needs some refurnishing.the room could have some more lights. It was clean, but since it needs some refurnishing too it seems not to be that tidy. The bed was comfortable with tea and coffee in the room. I did... More

Me and my girlfriend stopped here for one night on our way up to the Highlands. It was just what we needed, with good food, a clean, comfortable room and a friendly welcome. The black pudding was particularly good! The pub part of the building is a little bit scruffy - it looks like it is perhaps mid-renovation - but... More

Had a lovely weekend staying here. Food was fantastic, fish & chips was the best I have had in a long long time. Rooms comfortable and clean. People friendly. The breakfast is more than enough to fill you up for most of the day. Cereals, yoghurt, fruit, tea, coffee and a choice of breakfasts whether you want the full fry... More

I stayed at the Inn at Strathyre as an overnight stop while cycling NCN7 -- for which it is extremely convenient. I was a little nervous when I arrived because the outside is quite scrappy, but inside it is newly decorated, and the owner could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The Inn is a combination pub, restaurant and... More

The landlord didn't bat an eyelid when I arrived dripping wet out of the rain, on a mid-week afternoon. They serve a good pint of St Mungo's lager, which went well with the steak I ordered (I like to eat late afternoon on a walking holiday, having had no lunch). The steak was very good. The inn was a good... More

The sunday carvery was superb. Huge portions served by great staff. Warm welcome from the moment we arrived. The bar was bouncing with live music. Great atmosphere. Really is great to hear music being played in the bar after a hearty meal. Nice relaxing break.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights over new year, including Hogmany. Overall we had a great time. The positives are definitely the bar area and the food. The bar has a lovely open fire which made it very cosy and there was a very friendly atmosphere. On Hogmany itself there was live music and a great atmosphere... More

After 5-6 hours of hiking, it was not very difficult to find the place. Great Inn and Pub! The people were very accomodating, especially Irene. We had dinner and the pub food was awesome. The young waiter looked like Justin Bieber. He was a very good sport.

Very Good food, friendly bar, helpful and kind staff. Perfect for my stay with the dogs. Not the poshest of rooms, but warm, comfortable and clean. I really enjoyed my stay and have booked again. Thank you.
