This building is just as beautiful as the photos. If you have ever dreamed of living in a nice old house, this is the way to experience it!! The grounds are lovely and would make a great wedding venue. It is very private bad secure. We stayed in the main house. I think we had the least expensive room because... More

When I first visited the Inn in Esquimalt some thirty plus years ago it was truly a 'magical' place: filled with history, antiques, and real 'Victorian' charms. The suits of armor were highly polished, the restaurant served meals fit for a castle, the rooms were furnished with Elizabethan style antiques including many canopied beds. The 5 plus acres of grounds... More

we stayed here in early May. the staff was very helpful with any questions and concerns we had. the place was a bit dusty but being in the seclusion of the trees we weren't surprised. we stayed in the victoria room other than the tiny bathtub we found the room to be very big, comfortable and clean. I have read... More

It is a step back in time with some lovely features: wood paneling, stained glass windows, cozy rooms, narrow staircases, and a strong sense of history. The grounds were beautiful, with many flowers in bloom, but also wild in areas. As other reviewers have noted, it is a lot of area to maintain. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. They... We stayed at the Inn in March of this year, and had stayed there before a few years ago. We booked over the phone after looking at the rooms online. When we arrived, they had us is a room we didn't want because another customer had ""insisted" on the room we had booked. They said they would put us in... More

The best part of a visit to Victoria is the "Olde English" feel of much of the town. The English inn is a perfect way to get the full experience as it is a beautiful turn of the century mansion with dozens of period themed rooms. the grounds are beautiful and we found ourselves spending free time at the inn... My husband and I stayed here recently and found the Inn to be a well restored old home with very welcoming staff who were happy to help with advice or directions. Great spot in Victoria away from downtown so nice & quiet but still a good walking distance around the bay. We would have liked breakfast earlier so we could... More

The hotel is truly beautiful and situated in a lovely setting among the gardens and oak trees. The room was pleasant with a balcony and a comfortable bed. The problems are the hotel is a fair distance from any eating facilities and there is no dining room on site. The closest eateries are one kilometer away and they are nothing... More

My wife and stayed here for a Friday night for a romantic get away. The Hotel is a heritage building built at the turn of the century, I believe in 1906. The building, the grounds, the other small cottages that surround the estate have an old world English charm, it's almost like stepping into a old hotel and village in... More
