We were not guests of the inn so our review is limited to our experience in the inn's lounge. Although the lounge is small it has the potential to be a charming place to go for a cocktail. We went on a rainy and wintery evening. There were no other guests in the lounge. We ordered cocktails. The staff were... More

I did not feel that the staff went over and above to make our stay a great success. Our room was nice, but we did not receive a warm welcome when checking in, nor any great communication during our 2 night stay. It felt more like a hotel check in rather than a welcome to a wonderful Victoria Inn. Our... More

Yes the Inn has its charm, and is far removed from chrome and glass. The gardens are enticing, and almost like a maze. OK, there is no restaurant, but a number of restaurants in Victoria will channel their meals via a delivery service - in which case allow plenty of time for this all to take place. Liked the Inn... First and foremost, I'd like to express my gratitude for a couple from Ontario we have never met. One of the many amazing staff members at the English Inn, her name is Ashley, her parents live in Ontario. Without these 2 beautiful individuals a very key component of our wedding may very well have gone un fulfilled. This was at... More

A picturesque English Manor only a short three mile drive (or an 8 minute walk to the water taxi) to downtown Victoria, this property is exceptional. Forget the stuffy contemporary hotels, the English Inn has charm, spacious rooms, exceptional service and the most beautiful gardens surrounding the property. And I do mean surrounding! A large property where you can escape... More

We enjoyed a romantic second honeymoon celebrating our 30 years by staying where we first honeymooned. Special touches everywhere we looked - lighting, rose motif, elegant appointments, old world charm in stone and wood. Wonderful continental breakfast on a sunlit terrace surrounded by forest. Calm. Refreshing. Great service by friendly staff. A must for any traveler who wants to get... More

I stayed here for three nights. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. The grounds were nice and the building was interesting and charming. We were a bit disappointed to be far from downtown, but luckily there is a water taxi close by that only costs $5.00 to get to Fisherman's Wharf. My only complaint... More

Thank you for taking the opportunity to provide us with your feedback about your stay with us. We have since partnered with a different linen company so our rooms are sure to be supplied with an abundance of towels! Despite being a few minute drive outside of the downtown core, I am happy to hear that you took advantage of... More

Was hoping for a nice 4 night holiday away from California. We have been to Victoria before. Our B&B that we stayed at was booked so I used trip adviser to find the English inn. Nice grounds and gardens. Quiet area just out of the city of Victoria. HORRIBLE bed. Hard as a rock. Needed upgrade years ago. Continental breakfast,... More

This building is just as beautiful as the photos. If you have ever dreamed of living in a nice old house, this is the way to experience it!! The grounds are lovely and would make a great wedding venue. It is very private bad secure. We stayed in the main house. I think we had the least expensive room because... More
