My wife and I are not normally ones for B&B, However Glenacre changed all that. I can not praise this place enough. Tom Sarah, Ewan and Muddy ( the lab ) were fantastic hosts. we stayed in the Oak room which was fantastic. The location was fantastic, the food was fantastic. My daughter walked Muddy each morning while we relaxed... More

Tom & Sarah couldn't have been more helpful from the moment we enquired about our stay, the service and advice was fantastic... Even 'Muddy' the Chocolate Lab gives you a friendly welcome on arrival! All rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated... Cooked Breakfast was 1st class and made with fresh local produce. The only downside was that we never got... More

Michael & I were booked into stay at Glenacre for one night on our first trip to The Borders but as soon as we saw Glenacre, we decided to book for the second night which they accommodated with no fuss. The house is welcoming, bright and cosy all in one, Sarah and Tom are great and Euan was no bother... More

Fantastic location, with a superb view on the river/glen , a nice location with horses, cows and sheep . Tom and Sarah are nice and friendly, the cottage is brand new , perfectly dressed, clean, with large rooms. We had the delightful Oak room; breakfast was luxurious with the full Scottish salmon/mushroom/bacon/egg offer, and many many other things; but Sarah... More

Glenacre is a hidden gem! Gracious hospitality that starts the moment you arrive. Set in some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK. The rooms and the lounge are very spacious and well decorated. It is simply gorgeous, completely updated, tasteful, quiet. The entire place and setting are cozy with all of the comforts and charm of a home... More

Whole heartedly agree with every other review about Glenacre. The room, the service, the location, the garage for our motorbikes and the hospitality are some of the finest that that I have ever experienced. The two elements of a B&B are more than amply covered here - the room we stayed in (Beech) is one of the finest rooms I... More

A warm welcome and the accomodation is beautiful with great surroundings. A cot bed was provided and plenty of room was still left in the room. The breakfast was lovely and set us off for the day. Also had secure lockup for the motorbikes.

Stayed at this B&B for one night with my four year old son. I highly recommend it. One of the best B&Bs I have stayed in. It is very peaceful and scenic. The room was nicely decorated and furnished, and exceptionally clean. Guests are allowed to use a sitting room which is fully stocked with board games, piano and a... More

What a fantastic find! My other half and I recently stayed here and we couldn't have asked for better accomodation. We stayed in the Beech Room which was just lovely!! The place had a very luxurious feel yet very homely at the same time. The hosts were so welcoming and the breakfast they provided was first class. I would highly... More
