Having traveled a bit, we have stayed in rented flats, cottages, big hotels, small hostels, and are generally pretty satisfied - not too hard to please, maybe, but if value is there, we're OK. Honestly, the Hotel Merindad is what I've always wanted to find Beautiful, small, "quaint" but with all the features you want An added attraction is the... More

We were in our motorhome on the campsite about 30 minute walk to the town. The hotel is in the medieval part of town. The dining room is quite small with stone walls. The wine list consists of going in to the bodega to choose from a large selection of local suppliers and paying a small corkage charge. The 5... More

I returned to Olite with a group of school friends and we took the entire hotel for the weekend. The rooms are a bit old fashioned but comfortable and clean which is basically what you need. The breakfast was good and plenty. The recommendations of where to go and what to do in the area were excellent.

We have reviewed this hotel before as being excellent, but now they have a restaurant on site as well as a bodega and wine tasting experience, which we really enjoyed. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We stayed one night en route somewhere else and had a nice clean double room en suite for a good price. Very spanish and glad we chose this and not the parador. We ate excellent tapas that night in their bar and the waitress was lovely. Good breakfast the next morning.

Small hotel within the city walls - you need to drive in to drop off bags and then park outside the city in a public car park. Lots of character and very nice staff. Comfy rooms. Best of all, you are right in the old city so can walk everywhere - go to the Palacio Real which is the best... More

We stayed here one night on our way south based on the good reviews it had. We weren't disappointed. We had a junior suite which was as it suggests a spacious room with seating area and flat screen TV. The wifi worked perfectly too. The room was in keeping with the traditional, historical hotel. We had a quiet comfortable night... More

We stayed here for one night and were pleasantly surprised. Very good quality for a two start hotel! Our room (number 21) wasn't large but it was beautifully decorated in a sort of medieval style. Our window looked over the city wall at the back and over to a beautiful monastery and vineyard. The staff were really helpful and friendly... More

We have stayed here before, two years ago and that was the reason we returned on our way back from the Costa Blanca having stayed at the Parador on the way down. The rooms are very cozy and warm although no restaurant, only breakfast which very basic and costs 8 euros. The staff are lovely and very helpful We would... More
