Beautiful view. Stayed 2 nights. Very comfortable. Only had the breakfasts. Breakfast buffet very varied with Nespresso unit for when you didn't want to wait for coffee to be delivered to the table. Hopping seafront and old town. Good base for exploring nearby fishing villages. Went to Cambossa for lunch which is definitely worth a visit.

Stopped here on a motorbike tour of Galicia. The setting is spectacular in a beautiful bay and the building itself matches it. Amazing. Rooms fantastic and the staff were really friendly and helpful too. Nice pool and the terrace is a great spot for a few drinks as the sun goes down. Only sorry we couldn't stay longer. Excellent breakfast... More

This hotel is situated in an unbeatable position with stunning views, which you can appreciate even more if you take a 360 degree stroll round the walls. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Products in the bathroom were good but no robes or slippers. Also hairdryer one of the slow hold the button down jobbies that really should be banned! Also... More

This place is all about location. To get to the hotel, you drive off the main promenade, through gates manned by security and onto a private drive which leads up to the hotel inside the old walls, overlooking the sea. It really has the wow factor. Parking was a problem and it took us some time to find a free... More

The location is unreal. I had gone through the website several times, but even I was wowed when we drove up to the hotel. The kids were speechless. The hotel is on top of and surrounded by old fortifications, and is surrounded by sea from three of the four sides. We had one of the special suites, which was very... More

One of the best locations imaginable for a hotel. The views from the room were fabulous and we fell asleep to the sound of waves breaking on the rocks beneath us. This is one of the bigger paradores, a great building and I had the huge, square pool to myself on a hot Sunday afternoon in July. Walking the castle... More

Visited the town as a cruise excursion from Vigo. Really pretty town, a popular summer destination. Lots of local history associated with Columbus and his voyages to the new world. Nice harbour, local shops, vats and restaurants. The Parador hotel is a great location, great local views, a converted local fortress and very pretty architecture. Spent several great hours there... Wonderful old world hotel located on an isthmus with water - and water view - on all sides. Classical rooms and terrific bar and terrace made for a relaxing late afternoon. Reminded me of a European Fairmont.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We were allocated a spacious, comfortable room with lovely sea views. Breakfast buffet was both generous in terms of variety and excellent in terms of quality of meats, pastries and fruit. Easy walk down to the town and back. We stayed in three Paradors and Pousadas on our holiday and this was by... More

Just returned home after a tour of Galicia by car, we had Pre-booked a superior room at this Parador some time ago, its the first I have stayed in. The views from the grounds are stunning, we walked all around the castle walls. we were upgraded to a suite which was on the first floor near to the tennis court,... More
