You can be the princess for a night at this hotel. You literally are in the castle that you dreamed about! Yes, it is not easy way to get there if you do not have a car, but you can take a bus from the center bus station in Barcelona. The room is very charming and the furniture is very... More

Stayed here for a night travelling back into France from the south of Spain. Always fascinating to stay in a building which dates back over a 1000 years. Booked the stay under the amigos gastronomy package. Booked a superior room which ended up being a suite, large, clean and very comfortable. The reception was friendly, and the evening meal a... This was our first time staying in a castle hotel and we found the experience to be a delight. The site is impressive with an interesting history and the castle is interesting to explore. Our room was well appointed and spacious. The window was quite small (although we did not expect otherwise) and the country view pleasant. Dinner was average... More

stayed here 1 night on way from France down to Costa Blanca. The hotel sits right on top of a hill & is quite impressive but the views, although extensive, are not pretty. There is a massive mountain pile of salt to look at, where they are trying to flatten it & move the salt to other areas. This has... More

We stayed here for one night and were rather disappointed. We expected more luxury and exclusivity for the price we paid. The reception staff was not friendly or helpful at all. You can tell they are paid by the government. The morning we left, we had no hot water. We were told to leave the tap running but half an... More

We have stayed at several Paradors during our past cycling adventures in Spain and always been welcomed and well looked after. Not sure if the reception staff were having a bad day or they just don't like guests turning up on bikes, but we were not made welcome - a smile costs nothing... Although we paid full price and didn't... More

This stunning castle atop a small hill has amazing views over the surrounding countryside . The rooms are delightful as is the overall ambience . However , I was disappointed with the evening meal I had . Not only was the fish stew tasteless , but the following few days I suffered with a nasty gastro bug. This may have... More

High atop the hill in a former castle and monastery, this state-run Parador has taken a historic building and made it into a luxury hotel. Rooms are spacious, especially the all-marble bathrooms. Wifi makes it to the rooms and all one needs is available. Restaurant is typical of Paradors, perhaps a bit better.

This castle parador commands an amazing view over the town and surrounding countryside. Rooms are spacious, well appointed and the public areas are very comfortable. Only downside is accessing the hotel by car which requires some skill in negotiating the final driveway. Food in the restaurant is no more than adequate, but the overall experience of staying here is good.

The drive up to this hotel to check in is the most intimidating I have ever encountered. You wind your way uphill along a small street with the Castle turned parador looming above you. If you look up you can see the arrow holes and places where they can drop boiling oil down on your head if they wanted to... More
