We booked via the general parador site for a one night stay with our three small kids. We had a very spacious and comfortable, clean room. We enjoyed dinner on our balcony while kids sleeping and the huge breakfast buffet. Well indicated, decent sound-isolation, high on top of the hill. We had some minor issues and although clearly their is... More

This parador sets the standard for paradors! It is located beautifully, easy to follow signs get you there, it is well-maintained and cared for, it is truly an old castle which has been transformed into a lovely hotel, has a great dining room and menu, etc... It is neat and clean and does not give you the feeling that you... More

This one stands well above all others where we have stayed (15 throughout Spain) for cleanliness, magnificent location, excellent service. It is what one imagines a Parador to be. An old building which has been transformed into a lovely hotel. It is an insult to this one to have ma y others included in the Parador chain. The restaurant is... More

The Parador was easy to find following the 'Parador de Turisme' signs. The staff were welcoming and we had a wonderful view over the town from our room which had a balcony. Breakfast, served on the same floor, offered plenty of hot and cold options. The beds were firm but comfortable but we both slept well.

We love the old historic paradores and usually take the bed and breakfast. Tortosa is a nice old castle with a long history. Wonderful views from around the grounds and balconies. Like many paradores, they show signs of wear and tear, but that comes with these big old structures!

Stayed for 4 nights as part of a trip around 5 Paradors and in contrast to the others the staff here are a bit reserved and come across as a bit disinterested. The room was fine and the views good but not as special as others we have had elsewhere. The restaurant is a lovely room but the food is... More

if you`re travelling to the south from Barcelona don`t miss this place and stay for a couple of days. It`s a special kind of hotels - parador (you can find it at paradores.es), ancient castle built in X century by Muslims. We had a stunning view from our balcony - on the walls, Tortosa town and river Ebro. Besidas they... More

We have stayed in many paradors and tend to book only 4 star. Although there was nothing really wrong with this hotel it was a bit worn and the staff were not as efficient as other paradors, although they were very friendly. The room was average size but the bathroom needs an upgrade in the next year. The food was... More

I feel that Paradors like Tortosa are destined to get 4 stars leaving you wondering why you couldn't give 5! Tortosa is a beautiful old Parador situated above the Ebro river affording you fantastic views along the river, of the opposite hills and part of the town - which lacks the appeal of the Parador. Our room was big enough,... More

We booked two rooms at this parador on our way to Barcelona from Pedregeur. The rooms had balconies, were very quiet, the hotel grounds have stunning views and the pool was ideal for the children to cool off. The high point of our stat was dinner. We eat a really good Spanish meal in the vaulted dining room. The food... More
