Spent Sunday night here. We too, had a nice room with balcony that overlooked the swimming pool. We realised that we had made a mistake with our onward Parador bookings and went to reception for advice. Enrique sorted out our problems quickly and efficiently... and most importantly with a smile( something lacking in some other Paradores) We had dinner as... More

This is the 4th parador on our tour of 7 over 2 weeks. How can I sep arate them? So far they're all excellent in some ways and 'just' very good on others. This one has excelled on our room having a balcony - not a wonderful view but overlooking the pool so having something to watch - and staff... More

This is not one of thr better paradores; it must be one of the earlier conversions as the materials are dated (old, funky bathrooms) and overall condition of the place is well used. The reception and service are warm, welcoming, and helpful. The bar is a bit uncomfortable, setdown several flights of stairs, but with a nice garden just outside.... More

What a fantastic memorable place to stay-- especially after a long airplane flight and short drive from Madrid. We loved the location, décor, and warm historic feel of this beautiful Parador. the rooms are spacious, beautiful and comfortable!. It was very enjoyable!

This is not a spectacular Parador but, nonetheless, we were made very welcome. WE also had a room overlooking the swimming pool and it was clean but not terribly exciting. The dining room was very quiet and, perhaps because of this, we had exceptional service. Again, the food was good (excellent local dishes) without being fantastic. It is in a... More

Excellent rooms, set back in time with all the modern amenities. Ours faced the swimming pool with a beautiful terrace where we enjoyed the sun (and would not want to leave!). As usual in every Parador, the service was impecable. Bar and restaurant another pleasant experience!

We checked in at the hotel in late September. It could be one of the lowest room rates of Parador in Spain. This castle-turned-hotel took me back to the old times yet together with the modern facilities. Our rooms faced the swimming pool and had the green view. Sitting at the large balcony at night and with red wines plus... More

My wife, Henrietta, fell in love with this Parador. The tower is amazing! Try and get into the lovely salon below the tower, where you can sit and admire the intricacy of the interior ceiling. The town is nice and probably the most prosperous we saw on the trip (the recession is cutting deeper and deeper in places!). The food... More

We arrived from A6 (from Madrid) and had some trouble getting to the Parador (we passed here years ago and didn´t remember it was so fussy, and indeed, later on, we discovered a shorter way). We thought we were way outside the centre, but it only needed a short stroll to get there. The parador itself only has a limited... More

When I booked our stay at the Benavente Parador I knew it was going to be special as the various reviews and photos had shown, but we were highly impressed with the place. Finding the place was pretty easy from the motorway and riding up the driveway we could see that we were heading to somewhere very special. It’s one... More
