Santillana is quite beautiful and Casa del Organista was just right. The location put the town right there and, out the back window we had horses and goats and chickens. The staff was helpful, the room was quite spacious and the bathroom and shower were roomy, too. A wonderfully romantic spot. more

Santlllana del Mar is undoubtably pretty but very touristy. Tha Casa del Organista is a peaceful haven of tranquility within the walls but in a quieter part of the town/village. Secure private parking, open views from the back rooms over fields and historic buildings. Delightful staff, lovely buffet breakfast and comfortable rooms. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights with a small infant and found the staff wonderfully helpful. The house itself is very beautiful and Santillana is a good base for exploring the region ( 40 mins to Santander ). Pleanty of good beaches near by more

Had 2 nights in this lovely old building which has been beautifully restored. The buffet breakfast was amazing for the price (4.25 euros) and the staff (family members I think) were very helpful. A smattering of Spanish is useful in this area of Spain but the good thing is it's not overun with Brits or Americans. Really enjoyed our stay. more
