What a beautiful Parador. The rooms were comfortable & quiet. Old furniture that fitted the age of the Parador. Breakfasts very good served in the hotel. With a Restaurant just across the road for evening meals. Lovely friendly people. Plenty of parking which is a necessity. A great position to walk, explore, eat and drink.

This place is so cute! It's old school but very pretty. It has a bed and breakfast feel to it. I loved the service and vibe. The breakfast was extra but they had a large selection. The town is super cute, don't wear heels because it's all cobblestone. Loved it!

The place is a bit old but in a great secluded spot. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms transmit noise, however. Avoid anything near lift, kitchen, etc. You will get used to the flushing and creaking sounds of other rooms or just bring earplugs. Excellent breakfast with loads of very well cut pata negra, the breakfast of champions. This all... More

After driving through Santillana's narrow streets, we arrived at this extremely attractive Parador with it's own parking- a real bonus in such an ancient village! The welcome was excellent- we were provided with lots of information and a map of the village, then escorted to our room with luggage carried for us. The room was a very good size and... More

Apparently Jean Paul Sartre called Santillana the prettiest village in Spain. Who can argue with that? We certainly enjoyed our two day stay in the Parador de Santillana, the more modern of the two ( Gil Blas is the other one nearby) with which facilities are shared. Very comfortable, welcoming, clean with good size rooms and an excellent breakfast. Didn't... More

This place was rather stressful to find, but once there it did not disappoint. Plus with a TomTom it takes you right there, its just extremely windy and cobbled. However, the hotel is lovely. Lovely service and excellent breakfast as per usual. The only complaint I have is that at 6am there was a huge amount of door slamming and... More

As mentioned this is a most difficult Parador to find, it can only be described as rustic, rooms and plumbing need updating but having said that they are clean and are fully fitted as one would expect of a Parador. The village is very atmospheric and give yourself plenty of time to explore, many good looking places to eat.

The location is perfect. Right in the middle of the old medieval town. The rooms are good size ..ours had a stunning view The plumbing is a bit tired...more of a dribble than a gush Also, we were told there was WiFi in the room, but we only had it in the lobby. Breakfast was great...beautiful fresh free range eggs.... More

It is not easy to find this parador in the centre of the old city - we stopped at the tourist office and were given a map to follow down the stone cobbled streets - you need to stop at the other parador in town - Gil Bras and they will open the barrier and direct you to the correct... More
