Our first visit to Tenerife, away from the crowds in the south, El Patio seemed the ideal place for a quiet get away. After negotiating mountain roads at night, which I wouldn't advise, especially as a long, but easier drive on motorways from the south airport was available, we found the hotel. Unfortunately our satnav refused to believe it existed,... More

A fabulous place to stay. Relaxing atmosphere. Superb facilities. Very friendly owner and staff and so helpful. We had a very comfortable room with its own terrace and enjoyed the absence of a television & a phone. Although the absence of a kettle did bother me initially! No morning tea!! But the bar was just at the bottom of the... More

Have just spent three wonderfully relaxing days at El Patio. Couldn't have started our holiday in a better way. Staff were very discreet and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, Elena, to help us with. We felt as if we were part of the family. We had a standard double which was very comfortable and the hotel... More

Hard to fault anything except the monoculture banana plantation on all sides, and, not unusually for this type of hotel the total lack of sound insulation between the rooms. You really can hear a pin drop along the corridor, which given the overall peace and quiet might not suit everyone. We stayed for 3 nights and as with most reviewers... More

We stayed here for five nights after a week on la Gomera. We had a lovely time at the Hotel. It's in an excellent location, well away from the grotty south coast among lush banana plantations. The place is very classy - simple, good sized rooms; fine standard of service and cleanliness; wonderful gardens and patios to sit in; good... More

We were very pleased with our stay (1 week). It is a very calm and perfect place if you want to avoid the big tourist centers. The staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. The place has a very nice atmosphere and we liked the combination of hotel and bana plantage. They had a nice pool with extra... More

Not too difficult to find as it is well signposted from the El Guincho road. Although the satnav did at one point try to take us through a crash barrier and over a cliff. On arrival we were given a brief introduction to the facilities and layout of the hotel which consists of beautiful traditional buildings and very attractive courtyard... More

We booked for three nights at this beautiful, secluded hotel and wished we had stayed for longer. The hotel is close to the charming town of Garachico, located in the middle of a banana plantation and is incredibly peaceful (in fact the first ten minutes I spent out on the patio were worth the cost of our stay alone). We... More

We found paradise in this gem of a hotel on a banana plantation. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly, our room was spacious and quiet, our five year-old child was showered with kind affection. We enjoyed walking the paths through the banana plants to the beach and rugged coast. Lots of time was spent at the pool, tennis court, croquet... More

Finding the hotel was something of a challenge especially as our sat nav did not recognise the GPS and it was certainly off the beaten track in the middle of a banana plantation. The hotel has maintained a certain old fashioned charm with the rooms being very basic but clean and comfortable. Peace, quiet and tranquility are definate priotities. If... More
