Used La Quinta Roja as my base for a week's walking around Tenerife - a great decision. An historic building with the comforts like a really powerful shower, ac/heating, wifi, sauna on the roof terrace. Lots of chairs & loungers dotted about the place for intimate chats or soaking up the sun, nothing too much trouble for the staff. Someone... More

From the outside its quite plain but step inside to find a hotel oozing history. The rooms are situated around an inner courtyard. There is an air of tranquility as soon as you enter the courtyard. We luckily had a junior suite with a large open balcony which overlooked the town square where the locals meet. The air conditioning is... More

This hotel is simply beautiful - rooms around a central open air courtyard with fountains and flowers, situated in the central square next to the church and town hall in Garachico. The roof terrace and lookout tower have a great view all around the town and down to the sea. Paloma and the rest of the staff were friendly and... More

From the moment we stepped into the cool calm historic courtyard, we were in a time-warp Heaven! Lovingly restored, this wonderful building was a fusion of history with a discrete contemporary twist. The detail was all here.. From the ancient rounded wooden window seats to the freshly squeezed orange juice served with a smile... From the vaulted beamed bedroom ceilings... More

What a lovely hotel!!!! We really enjoyed our 10 day stay in this quiet oasis. Wonderful hospitality. Wonderful breakfast. Great coffee (yes, it's important!)! The family owners and hotel staff were so lovely, gave my parents and I a warm welcome and great restaurant recommendations over the holiday period. We'd love to come back!!

Great Hotel . Not touristy at all , just very classy . We adored it , aged wood on bedroom floors , wonderful wooden ceilings too. We had a room at the front of the Hotel overlooking the square . The courtyard in the centre of the hotel , is really calm and peaceful . With fatten furniture , coffee... More

Lovely hotel though pricey. Children slept on what was once a terrace but has been covered in but they were fine. Lovely location on the square - I know that a baby monitor worked from the cafe in the square from the room as a family we met were using it!

Stayed here for a week on vacation. A very stylish conversion of an old manor house, which is well looked after. Our basic room was fairly tight, but adequate and tastefully finished. The indoor courtyard is great for sitting out, with a drink etc. Hotel is situated right on the town square with good coice of restaurants nearby. An excellent... More

I always take a lot of time and care to choose a hotel and therefore it is not often I am disappointed but I was this time. I did not like our room at all. I had upgraded to a double plus but putting a pair of dressing gowns in the bathroom hardly makes it a comfort room. It was... More

Good points - good location (no parking), very old property and a comprehensive breakfast Not so good points - we felt overpriced - nearly 200 euros for a junior suite, which was just a room with another corridor like room attached, which was not inductive to sitting in. Air con only pumped hot air out. Clean-ish room/bathroom but cheap soaps... More
