We arrived at the hotel without previous reservations. The owner didn't want to show us a room before we agreed to take it, saying that the rooms were all very nice. After we insisted on looking at the rooms, she made disparaging remarks about Americans. The rooms are nice, very clean, quiet, although a bit pricy at 84 euros for... more
Great Location right next to the railway station but not close enough to be disturbed by any noise.Family run for over 100 years, very very friendly, clean and basic.Breakfast just about adequate. The evening meals are a joy of local cooking with a likeable but quirky head waiter. Many locals eat here and it is such a change to the pizza etc joints. There are... more
I highly recommend this simple, friendly hotel - it's conveniently next to the station and a short walk to the main square and my spacious room was furnished with typically dark Mallorcan furniture. As I pushed open the green shutters, my eyes fell on the flower-strewn entrance courtyard. My alarm clock every morning was the sound of the church bells... more
Hotel El Guia is a hotel without any originality but which has full of advantages: -it's cheerful -it's cheap -our room was very quiet (ask for a room on the courtyard) -the room has air conditioning -the food at the hotel's restaurant is delicious and not expensive -the staff is very professional more
I would not reccomend this restaurant, we only went as a guide book reccomended it. I don't usually write reviews but wouldn't want anyone else to waste their money here. It was empty, the waiters hover far too closely and intrusivley. My Tuna was not even tuna but some white fish with freezer burn, my boyfriends lamb chops were lamb... more

We have just returned from a seven night stay at the Hotel El Guia and it suited our needs perfectly. You have to remember that you get what you pay for and at 80 euros for a double, and 51 euros for a single room you should not expect luxury. It is a family run, traditional Mallorquin hotel with character,... more
antipatic treatment by manger miss ketty !!! problems with shower: very poor stream !!! water too cold or too hot ,toilet was blocked, don't attempt the price we were so disapointed, that we never will return back !!! more
Good location next to station and near main square. The room was simple but clean. The shower had a wonky wall fixing which made showering an exciting and room drenching experience. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was mediocre and expensive. (e.g. 24 euros for "sea bass" which neither tasted nor looked like any sea bass we had ever had) Breakfasts... more
