This Parador is set on the top of the town and is the site of the original castle which has been renovated thoughtfully. As with all Paradors it is well furnished and comfortable. Wifi is easily connected. Much cheaper rates for over 55 are worth having

This place will make you feel royal. We detoured here just to stay in the Parador and it was worth the effort. The castle sits on a high hill and has 360 degree views over the surrounding countryside. The view from our 2nd floor room demanded a bottle of wine and an hour or two to enjoy. Take one with... I use a rolling walker but failed to request a disabled access room, instead got an attic room that my wife didn't like because of the sloped attic ceiling and the tucked in feeling. I think the family in the room next door had kids who loved the attic, but we requested a move and the staff were very accommodating,... More

A great place to spend a relaxing afternoon and evening during touring in Spain. The area does not have a lot going for it but the hotel makes up for that. A jug of sangria in the castle courtyard can get the imagination running followed by a superb set menu dinner which was good monetary value sets off the day... More

I don't give out many overall 5s, but this place gets one! Everything about it was utterly fantastic from start to finish. The hotel is a true castle; the facilities are gracious and verge on opulence. The food and wine were superb, both in the tapas bar and the very gracious and formal restaurant. Even the internet access was perfect... More

Some people dream of castles in Spain. This one is a dream come true. The bedrooms - and we had one of the cheapest - are luxurious and larger than the average Parador room, the restaurant is quite beautiful and the bar is a lovely place to sit and relax (if only they would take the television away. No-one watches... More

As it is a converted castle it was no surprise to find an enormous high-ceilinged bedroom approached via a spiral staircase and along a long corridor; what was a surprise was that it was war and cosy with subdued lighting that sprung to life as one approached. The baronial dining hall (too grand to be called a room) with its... More

As Paradors go this was very good with warm welcome, comfortable room and enjoyed the Gastronmic dinner menu in a fabulous dining room. Waitresses were attentive and friendly. Enjoyed some super local wines and one of our better meals during our holiday. The Parador also has a museum castle within the grounds and the guided tour in spanish was very... More
