Decided to upgrade to the one of two junior suites they have available at the hotel and it is well worth it. You basically have a mini apartment in the tower on the front of the hotel. It was amazing, the views overlooking the city were truly something special as well as the luxurious whirlpool tub that easily accommodates two... More

The Parador itself was beautiful, historical and comfortable. It was very expensive though, which I imagine goes into upkeep of the place. Alcaniz itself was forgettable. Dinner was very tasty. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bath was wonderful. View was stunning. Wifi was extremely slow. We didn't have breakfast there as it was also expensive, but rather ate in Alcaniz... More

We spent one glorious evening here at this 12th Century castle on 23 Sept 2014. It's high on a hilltop with fantastic 360 degree views. It was our first Paradore in Spain and we picked a real winner. The "Jefe" of reception, Angel was very personable and gave us his opinion of the best Paradores in northern Spain. Our room... More

Super atmospheric Parador hotel in lovely old castle.First class restaurant in wonderful baronial hall.Rooms large and comfortable although bed was a little too hard for me (my only criticism). Staff very friendly and helpful.Plenty of secure parking . Amazing views. Hotel prices very reasonable for a quality hotel. Brian T.

Amazing looking hotel and scenery... we found it by chance and loved every minute of our stay. Amazing vaulted bar/ reception area for a nice glass or two of Rioja. Travelled out of town to eat but anything local would be excellent.

We spent just the one night here on our south through central Spain. After a long day in the car it was so refreshing to stay somewhere different from your standard modern hotel. The hotel\castle is on the top of the hill overlooking the town and surrounding countryside. The room was very comfortable and spacious and the service at reception... More

We stayed one night in this parador and that was enough. Our group had three rooms. Two of them were fine but the third had a very strong and offensive odor that made the room almost unbearable. The tour was in Spanish only and lasted about 30 minutes. Not terribly interesting and if you do not speak Spanish I would... More

It's a castle that turned into a Hotel on the top a hill. Very nice views. Really quiet place to stay and rest. The room was huge!!. You can take a tour of the castle that turned into a museum. We spent just one night and I thing this is enough because there aren't many thing to see in the... More

Beautiful castle turned hotel. Huge rooms, some with wonderful views of the town from the top of the mountain where it's situated. The town is worth a visit, but two nights is probably plenty of time to see the sights. A very nice historic parador. Combine this with a night or two in the Parador of Tortosa, which is also... This is a truly great Parador. The situation is perfect. The meals were first class. The bedroom was huge and enjoyed a corner aspect giving great views. The room was clean and the bathroom large. The shower although good was over the bath, a practice I think to be dangerous. As with all the Paradores in which we stayed the... More
