We truly loved this carefully restored Parador. We had a lovely room, and yes the soundproofing could be better but all the amenities were very good. The front desk is polite but challenged to speak anything other than heavily accented Spanish but that also makes this an authentic experience. We booked into the Parador hoping to enjoy a little luxury for a night with our 3 month old baby. Our room was in the new block attached to the castle ruins. It was clean but fairly uncharismatic. We just spent a great week touring around a bit of the Spanish countryside. As a treat we had reserved a room at the castle in Alcaniz. Our room was outstanding as we were given a suite in one of the towers; it was 2 levels and the views were incredible. We slept like a King and Queen that night.... more
